    The functionality to switch between artistic and frame text would be a great addition to Designer... Illustrator's implementation of doing this (double click a specific node on a text object, or right click > convert to...) is a perfect example on how it should be handled.

    Here's a thread with a whole bunch of other people wanting this as well.

    When you dragged the artboard out you could see that the transform's X and Y values showed it was on a half pixel. You can change these to whole pixels which will align it to the pixel grid. The other option is to make sure you have both 'Force Pixel Alignment' and 'Move by Whole Pixels' enabled next to the snapping toolbar button. This means that any object will be forced to align to pixels and will only ever move by whole pixels - this will stop your artboards being created on half pixels.

    Hi impixeldude,

    This isn't actually a bug, but is the result of a bug being fixed - grids should have never been displayed outside the artboard. You can however use the Align options on the context toolbar to align artboards to existing artboards.

    Lastly, I don't remember where I got this Template (attached file). Originally, it was a PSD file but the interesting part is that it was made with Bootstrap 4 in mind. I'm not a Web Designer so what I did was just for entertaining purposes (fonts can be found in the list I pointed to before).

    Hi impixeldude,
    There's a few situations where other snapping options may interfere with full pixel alignment. For example if you have a rectangle with 21 px width and have Snap to object bounding boxes and Include bounding box mid points in particular enabled, other objects may snap to the middle of that box which will give you a 0.5 pixel coordinate as a result (since the width of the box is not an even value). So disabling it in the Snapping options will prevent those situations as these options have priority over pixel alignment.
    Move by whole pixels does exactly what it says and moves (transforms actually) an object an integer value. This means that you have it enabled and are trying to scale a text box which does NOT have an integer width or height, it will always end up with non-integer values as coordinates, because Move by whole pixels forces it to move or scale an integer value in addition to the decimal value that it already possess. This option should only be enabled if you have objects that use sub-pixel coordinates (like icons for example where you may want to keep the sub pixel values - the decimal values- intact) when moving or scale them.

    You have to enable Snapping and check Snap to Grid in the Snapping Manager options (View ▹ Snapping Manager...).
    You may also need to change the alignment of the shape's stroke to Inside or Outside in the Stroke width dropdown.
     
    Take a look at this short clip. It's possible to control object's position in half or full pixels on the grid for full control.
    Enabling Snap to Grid let's you control object's position in half pixels, clicking on Force Pixel Alignment in the Persona toolbar allows full pixel positioning both for Move and Node tools.

    Hi impixeldude,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
    Are you using artboards? If so, check the X,Y coordinates of the artboard in the Transform panel and set them to integer values. You need to change the number of Decimal Places for Units Types in Affinity Preferences, User Interface section to 6 to be able to see/check the decimal places in the Transform panel. To prevent this from happening make sure you have Force Pixel Alignment enabled from the start in the Snapping Manager.

    I made a set of gradients for Affinity Designer. 
    My first attempt at AD gradient set! Tada!  :D
    I originally created the set to be used at work (using Illustrator) and I made this to share with the nice folks here at Affinity Forum.

    Hi, I've been working on som assets and documents for material design in Affinity designer.
     
    The Icon assets are the original SVG downloaded from https://material.io/icons/ and are all in 24x24 px (I will try to update this when there is new icons).
    I've also started to make a document that is a copy of te dokument that Sketch uses (This is not done but I would like feedback on what to improve)

    There are things that can't be achieved with duplicate commands.
    Creating a palette of in-between colors is one of them.
    But creating freehand/organic shading is another one.
    Trust me... blend is really needed :-)

    Here is a little something I created here in a few minutes.
    All the shading is done using blends. The metallic shine and the shadow.
    This is quite easy with blends. But not as easy without it. Or is it?

    For creating "curved" organic gradients it is the best (only?) way.
    Having a "mesh coloring" tool is a possible solution.
     


     
    However, it is "limited" or confined to a shape. That would not be a huge problem if the color nodes could accept "transparent".
    Would this be a possible solution?

    Blending between shapes is essential.
    Not only for shading, of course. But for truly "organic" shading, it is a must.

    I remember using Blend in FreeHand to create in-between shapes for animation purposes or to create a mix between shapes (ditching the start and end shapes and keeping the generated shapes)
     
    So, please, please, PLEASE!!!! Add a Blend tool.
     
    Oh, and please make it dynamic. So, if I adjust the start and/or end shape, all the in-between shapes get updated.

    Hi Tony, I agree not so much for shading. It's more for repeating elements and then being able to add or subtract elements after the fact by editing the blend. Creating complex arrangements quickly and with control.  Power duplicate is good for some situations but you can't go back and make adjustments as easily. Something like an array tool would be great. 5 element copies across 8 down sort of thing... :-)

    Your country does determine the price and currency quoted, so you may choose the "wrong country", BUT your credit card may be rejected if the location seems wrong. If paying by PayPal you will probably be fine. This is playing the system but with the current Store it's probably possible
