  1. Didn't knew that I can past a style only. I created always a style, but paste works great for me. Thanks! Text (or text as object) styles would be very nice :)
  2. One more thing: If I try to rearrange colors in the swatch panel the beta crashes. If I do it in list view there is no problem and it works.
  3. I use the swatches in list mode, there I can rearrange them. Not elegant, but working. Theoretically you also can do this in swatch view, but the current beta crashes if I do so. The size can't be changed currently.
  4. Still can't get more precision than 1 decimal place creating objects -> need 5.25mm and only get rounded 5.3mm. This happens if I pull handels on an object or if I change the object size in the tranform palette by hand. Only for brush strokes I get 2 decimal places but not for objects. 2 decimals places would be very good, 3 (as an option) a nice to have :) Maybe it's not a bug but then I recommend it as feature
  5. Now I tried the iMac - same thing here - but I found out that I haven't switched to symbol-view, there I can see the preview icons. But as I use list view there are only white icons for the files. But as you see PDF files, and all other one have also their preview or at least their own icon showed like it is correct. So is this again a problem here or is it a bug?! Sorry for any confusions I may cause :) See screenshot for details.
  6. Hey MEB, very strange. I restartet the Mac, checked for updates (newest Yosemite), all is well. I repaired the volume, cleared the desktop cache, same game. All icons are as they should be of every program and every file type - except for the raw fileformats of Designer and Photo. Don't know what's going wrong and how to fix it. I'll try it later on an iMac, also running Yosemite. Feedback follows.
  7. It works - tried it at the moment. Fast check: place a image in an AD document. Select the image on the layer plaette and the option appears in the bar right after the document name and size.
  8. Sometimes I miss the creator codes, but allright, at last the suffix works well for me, too :) Very good times ... ;)
  9. Just wondering where the icons of the files went/are?! The suite hast such wonderful program icons, and every export to pdf, jpg has a file preview as icon - just the workfiles have a plane sheet of paper. Is it a local problem of mine or is this just wanted? A file preview or a clear icon for the filetype would be great. Just look at the screenshot for what I mean. :)
  10. Can't wait for the suite and unleasing full prepress potential ... :)

  11. AD and APh and later on the Publisher also will use one fileformat for the whole suit as they statet earlier on. Yesterday I tried to make some cutouts for testing - and it worked in AD in the pixel persona the perfect same way as in APh. I think the fileformat is a container like PDF with the basics shared over all programs. You can edit aspects from other software parts (AD in APh and vice versa) but every programm has it's special focus where you will need the suitable programm for. I love this way of editing :)
  12. In this maner I found the "cmd +" and the "cmd -" for zooming very good, but it should zoom the selection or if nothing is selected the mouse-cursor should be center for zoom.
  13. Sadly the best way is to have a PDF along the original CDR file. Even Illustrator CC hasn't a good import function for Corel files - just some very old (v11?!) will work roughly - if no spcial effects have been aplied. So if you have any chance to get the PDF from the Corel file, use it. The only true working alternative is to use Win and an (older and cheap) version of CorelDraw. Sorry :(
  14. Wäre eine feine Sache. Und wenn es nur User für User ist - was man sonst noch benötigt kann man ja weiterhin im internationalen posten. +1 for a german board for "user <-> user" :)
  15. Hey there, I have another question :) : I need a circle with a diameter of 3.25 mm, but Designer (also the Beta) does only accept 1 decimal place and it will be rounded to 3.3 mm. For technical scribbles sometimes I also need 3 places (for example 2.125 mm for spacial type plates). Is it possible to get more than 1 decimal place or isn't that supportet (at all)? That's very important for me. See screenshot. Strokes have more than 1 decimal place, this is no problem, just the size of objects using the transform-panel. Thanks again for any help
  16. I have now opend the same PDF in Affinity Designer for testing. There I can use the Document Setup and make my adjustment: Document is web, used measurement is pixels and RGB. And perfect for my export to JPG: document size in pixels with the resolution -> 72 dpi. That fits perfect well and can be changed just for my needs. But I haven't found something like that in Affinity Photo, but I thought Photo will be the better solution for such things like converting a PDF to a flat pixel document?! Is the document setup and resolution somewhere hidden and I only have overlooked it? In the Export Persona I can set Export Options, but still can't change the resolution of the export?!?! The screenshot shows the Designer dialogue for the document setup which I used and was perfect for the export to JPG, just a workaround an not as elegant as it should but it's working.
  17. Hey guys, just playing around with the Photo Beta, and run into a problem/question :) I have a PDF file with photos, curves and fonts. It will be opened in Photo and splittet into different layers for text, photos, ... Is there an option to open a PDF and convert it directly to a flat color-bitmap? In Photoshop I have the option to convert a file directly to CMYK-, RGB-bitmap in the opening dialogue. And if I export the page to JPG and give it a size like 1000 x 500 px, and do the same export in Photoshop the size is always different. In Photoshop i see the size is 1000 x 500 px with 72 ppi (and I can modify this value), and in Photo I always get 1000 x 500 with 300-386 ppi and the filesize is much bigger. For print the exportet JPGs are well, but for the web to large. Or am I doing something completly wrong?! I hope you understand what I mean. Sometimes it is difficult to explain here in english. secretly looking for the german Affinity board ;)
  18. Maybe you can try to reset it in the preferences under the "misc-tab" if it's a AD problem.
  19. A option for kerning/line spacing for graphical text like CorelDraw would be great. +1 for that :)
  20. Maybe it's good to know for someone on that topic: I run AD on my late 2008 MacBook Pro with 2,93 GHz, 8 GB RAM and a SSD with the integrated nvidia Geforce 9600 on Yosemite. It runs smooth and very well - I only detect glitches and jerks when I have a very complex file or with large pixelpics inside. So everything about that should run very good :) Also I use a 2011 iMac with 16 GB of RAM and a SSD - and that's nearly perfect.
  21. Thanks Tony, I feared it, just one job to do with spot colors... therefore I use now Illustrator for that - but I will get really happy if spot colors are implemented in a future update :)
