We are pleased to announce an update for the Windows release of Affinity Designer 2, version 2.3.0
This build is available as a (sandboxed) MSIX application installer and as an (unsandboxed) MSI/EXE traditional installer.
Please see this FAQ thread for instructions on how to access the unsandboxed MSI/EXE version.

UPDATING TO THIS VERSION (which is free for all V2 users)
The software version can be seen on the splash screen and the About dialog (in Help > About Affinity Designer ).
If you’ve purchased from the Affinity Store — each time you start the Affinity Store software it will check for updates and offer any available update. The Windows builds only automatically checks once per day. In the Help menu there is a manual "Check for Updates". The latest update will install over the top of any earlier version, with no need to uninstall. You can download the latest installer by logging into the affinity store here and find the order in your account and use the "Download" button in there. Alternatively, this new release (and previous versions of Affinity Publisher for Windows) can be downloaded from this link (those installers are NOT for customers who made Microsoft Store purchases).
If you've purchased from the Microsoft Store — Microsoft Store updates are done automatically by the operating system (each time you start the application). If this does not happen for you, open the Windows Store app and click the three dots in the top right corner of the app and then go to Downloads and Updates. Click Get Updates. This should hopefully force the update to show. 

since the npc's in this discussion dont understand what a rotation tool should do i will link a video for you npc's to see what an actual rotation tool is suppose to do

I dont understand how this is rocket science for you guys, I'm turning off notifications. if this doesn't get you guys to understand what a rotation tool or keybind should do i truly have no hope for the human race. I am now turning off notifications if you don't get it by now please go do something more productive with your life...

Bugs affecting all platforms
PDF imports with unsupported characters for the 'Subject' field, then fails to export out to PDF. Crash when enabling document Baseline Grid due to Running Headers on Master Pages. Crash applying a Paragraph Style to a Running Header within a small text frame. Non-breaking hyphens no longer draws, though does not affect ALL fonts. Crash adding pages into a facing page document with flowing text. Help updates  Bugs affecting Desktop (Windows and macOS)
'Title' and 'Description' fields are not read from the XMP sidecar files. Batch Processing RAW files creates incredibly dark results. Data Merge sources stored on a Cloud drive can crash the app when deleting data source. Bugs affecting Windows
Export dialog correctly handling transparency again. Cropping in the develop persona does not visually apply crop. Changing the Opacity of an object via the Colour panel dropdown fails to visually update the object on the canvas. Fields Panel- changing the contents without pressing enter causes the fields to clear when enter is next pressed in a field. Bugs affecting macOS
NIK Collection: Crash when closing app after Colour Efex. Crash after deleting a template file. Bugs affecting iPad
Version number in iPad settings is full version number not just build. Stroke width cannot exceed 100 in any unit in Stroke Panel.

Thanks for reporting this. We are already aware of the issue with Unsplash images crashing on Windows (or doing nothing on macOS). It's already logged to be looked at.

Thanks a lot for your marvelous work! It excites me more and more from day to day.

It's been a year. And I guess there are also older posts about organizing and saving workspaces. Now there is an update and still everything is as before. Dear Affinity Team, what is so hard about this step of improvement to go. It's certainly not due to expertise. Aren't you allowed? Do you have a "nerd" as project manager who has nothing in mind with usability? Or are you just stubborn? Take a look around the real world and see how something like this works.  Then you'll notice how useful it is. I am glad that I can still use Photoshop.

I used styles pack for Photoshop. In PS I wrote "ABC", added styles and saved as psd. Then I opened the file in Affinity Photo, I've improved a bit in the effects section (bevels ans emboss, shadows etc.), sleceted each element, than right click and I choose "create style" form menu. It's a pity that AP does not support textures in the effects section because in Photoshop they looked more interesting with textures (See attachment)

Why would you ever expect Affinity to support all these Photoshop components.
Clearly if you are so dependent on PS then that is probably the only software you can use?

Just a thought: it's a fairly standard convention in some of the graphics programs I use, to just double-click the origin box joining the rulers to reset.
It's the first place I try when opening a new program and have screwed up the rulers.
