Rick G reacted to MEB in Importing Brushes not working
    Hi Rick G,
Change to Pixel Persona, go to the Brushes panel there, click the  category dropdown list and they should be there on the bottom. Affinity Designer has two brush engines, one vector based (Draw Persona) and another raster based (Pixel Persona which is also used in Affinity Photo). The brushes are distributed between the two accordingly to their type. Since .abr brushes are raster based they will appear in the Pixel Persona (Affinity Designer).

    Status: Customer Beta
    Purpose: Stability
Requirements: A valid product key, issued when Windows Affinity Photo version 1.5 was purchased.

This is a beta of a substantial change to our codebase and as much as we have tried to ensure the quality of the code, it is considered to be not suitable for production use. This means that you should not attempt to use it for commercial purposes or for any other activity that you may be adversely affected by the application failing. In addition it is definitely worth noting that files created in Affinity 1.6 may not open in 1.5 so always make a copy of your important documents before opening them in 1.6 to ensure you do not accidentally overwrite them and are unable to open them in your 1.5 version.

We hope you enjoy the latest build, and as always, if you've got any problems, please don't hesitate to post here and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Thanks once again for your continued feedback.

If you have a general question about the software, please head over to the Questions Forum, or if you have any suggestions, please head over to the Feature Requests forum.

    Fixes

    Hey maxen,

It should be on the end, possibly on the extended menu as there are a lot of context options for the text objects.

Morning Rick! Please try to be patient with fixes. I posted stating that I had reproduced and reported the bug to development at 08:38 Monday morning, build 83 then came along 3 hours later at 11:39.

It takes a bit longer than 3 hours to get an issue fixed and in a build. In fact we already had build 83 internally prior to you reporting the issue! Please do keep an eye on the fix list - if you notice the fix being listed on that and still find it broken then by all means let us know. If you don't see the fix listed, it is unlikely it will have been fixed.

I am not impatient at all. I am sorry if it sounded that way. I am just following bugs and marking them. It is more for the next user and hopefully will reduce posts. If anyone else is following
I was just following up with it, You will get to it as you will. No complaints here

Did not know where to write, I'll write here.
    1. In Windows Progress bar is almost invisible.
    "He's very thin."
    - The color is very faded. Merge, can not see how much passed and how much is left. it is necessary to peer.
    2. If several tabs are open, it is difficult to see the active tab (especially in the light interface.). The colors are very similar in tone.
Even for a person with 100% eyesight, this makes work difficult.
There are also inaccuracies in the translation into Russian, but I will write about them later, as the time will appear.

Ok the error was on this end. I need to do actual "cloning" in the photo persona as in liquefy it only copies the effect from one place to another.
    Noob error, please forgive

    Hey Rick,

Are you applying any of the other Liquify tools beforehand? The Mesh Clone Tool just duplicates existing areas of a mesh. For example, if I use the Pinch Tool to make someone's eye bigger, I can use the Mesh Clone Tool to simply clone it to the other eye to make it the same size. These are the steps from the Help:
Click the Liquify Clone Mesh Tool. Adjust settings on the Brush panel. Alt-click on the area of the mesh you wish to copy. Click on the area of the mesh to 'paste' the copied effect. Repeat the step above to apply the copied effect elsewhere on the image. Step 4. states that you need to click on the area of the mesh, this means an area that has already had a mesh applied to it, e.g. the Pinch Tool.

I guess what inspired me to create this was feeling the scales on a snake.
it's a little chaotic, I guess this is why drawing and designing brings chaos to order in my mind.

It's the organic look that can be achieved with a tool like AD - even if the look is a little out of fashion - that really is the most fun.
Ink and watercolor-like effects - vector brushes.
I am including the .afdesign file for digging around in.

    Hi KWEnz, RosomakPL,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
The trials will be available soon. It is taking a little longer because there's a huge number of different configurations on Windows platform and we need time to fix the issues reported after the release.
There's no point in releasing a trial containing bugs/issues we are already aware of.
