They had a problem with EFTOOL doing that and fixed it. All has bee well for a few builds and now it is back, although I did not see an instance of EFTOOl in task manager

    Welcome to the Affinity forums!
The wrap options you need to set are for the object the text must wrap around, not for the text.
Select that colored object, and set its text wrap options.

    @Croghs
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums
Text Wrapping is set on the wrapped object not the text frame (unless you want text in another frame to wrap around this text frame)

Look in the newly introduced line ends dialog box (aka Stroke). It's the last entry in the drop down ... at least as a starting point

Hi everybody – I'm new her – excuse for my poor english.
I'm a professional Grafik-Designer for Print and Books, a long-time-InDesign-User and also a Teacher for software-courses (for Aff. designer/Photo and planning the first course for AffPublisher). Now I'm testing AffPublisher for som first projects – impressive.
I noticed two little problems, which are importent for Pros with Layout:
    1. When handling a mass of text in colums – I have to fine-tune the Letter/Glyph Tracking/Spacing for a lot of single rows. Typically it's done by keyborad-shortcuts (alt + left/right arrow) in steps – now by 10‰. In my opinion – this step is to large – 5‰ would be better. Or a possibility, to define your own steps in preferences, like it's possible in InDesign.
    2. When working on Text on details – the display of hidden Signs (Points for Spaces – Paragraph-Sign and so on) is very important. I noticed, that there is no symbol for a forced line-break. But that would be very important – you have to find forced linebraeks.
    thanks a lot
    Friedrich

I believe there is a new range of Affinity t-shirts coming after Publisher is released.  The price is expected to be discounted for people participating in these forums.
    Sneak peak below...

I wonder if size could be made more configurable?  Many might want the interface to look like the mac interface but some of us want and need larger fonts

No they don’t.   They deserve a pat on the back.    But so do the developers.  One huge thank you for putting up with some strange comments mixed in with thousands of potentially helpful forum entries.   Nobody is required to be on these forums.   I consider it a distinct privilege and also a matter of great satisfaction that I may possibly have helped in a miniscule way to making Publisher the wonderful product it is — and was from the start back on August 30.   It never WAS “terrible.”

You are probably not taking into account that most Macs use high dpi monitors while most monitors attached to Windows machines are low dpi like grafkom's and mine. Please revert this change ASAP, or provide an option. You already have lots of problems and bugs to solve, you don't need to create new ones.

Also (this is a general rant and not Serif specific) I would like to tar and feather the ones who decided a dark gray on black was a great color choice for menus or anything else that has to be read [\Ranr]

Hmmmm... Better call it a change, I'm not sure it is an improvement over the previous versions. The font used is too small at 96 dpi (unless you are less than 40 -- not my case). The previous font is much clearer and easy to read. Ideally this should be a setting, I wouldn't mind going through zipped XML or JSON files to change display fonts. Thanks a lot for the other improvements, though.

Exactly, the font in the layer panel is now too small and unreadable compared to earlier versions of Beta and version 1.6.
Please go back to the previous size or add the option to change the size of the font in the layer panel as you can now change the size of the thumbnails.
Also, the thumbnails in the layer panel showing the text and text in the frame are now so small that for a moment I was wondering what it could be.
And one more thing. Layer coloration is possible only when choosing 7 colors (faded colors), why only so much and why you can not create your own colors?

If you have "Include Hyperlinks" selected in the More dialog when you export your PDF, the index entries will be linked to the pages where the terms appear. (Note that you may need to scroll down to see that option; I don't know its default setting.)
TOC entries will also be hyperlinked by default, I believe, and the page numbers in the TOC will function properly.

That is the right panel. The way it is worded and in the training videos is the studio is the panel that pops up under View /Studio. You may be right and if that is the case then then need to clarify that somehow
And yes you are logical as the items on the right are part of the studio list. If I am wrong it won't be the first time ... not even the first time today
