@ygoe You are correct to a point but sometimes one can print pages of something to a PDF and what you have is a PDF with graphical pages. Other times they are editable hence the "missing font" messages when importing If something is not rendering correctly the developers need to take a look to see if it is a bug or perhaps you are missing a setting somewhere

I can confirm too, but it seems to be an issue with screen refreshing. Once you have made the mess by moving the object around, all you need to do is refresh and it's gone. (zoom in and out quickly with the mouse wheel will do it) This behavior is found in the Affinity line; white lines on the edges in Photo etc Many have reported issues like this

I run a small clipboard manager called ARSCLIP which will also handle some shortcuts. I just assigned one to my work folder and invoking it will paste that path in the file name box ot voila! I am in my folder

Wait. You were talking about CMYK and these are Pantone swatches NOT CMYK. That is a whole different thing

Explain the difference please. (seriously, not baiting here) We used to screen print and ribbon print and there was one black for the screens and one black ribbon for the ribbon printers.100 K/black was just that. Perhaps I am misunderstanding something

I would think it should close a blank document or offer to save and close one with content Don't apologize: I don't need it and you don't mean it This will keep happening. Someone will post something and it will be attacked by the grammarians and the spelling cops until the original idea is all but lost. Please just stop that! as for default document ... do you think that if the first response was "what do you mean by default document" things might have gone better? Of course it would although a lot less fun and fulfilling. Since programs like word an excel open to a "default document" I will not hang my head in shame over that usage although it was a bit confusing in an Affinity context. But I am don with this one and am not worried if anything is done with this. You guys beat me to death over this and I do not have the energy to contend with this silliness.

I can't reproduce right now (I just tried) I was in Photo. No text frames - it was a blank document. If it doesn't come up again then we can't worry with it, but I am wondering if it didn't have another cause I beta tested "The Bat" email program for many years. They would issue a new bets it would have all kinds of issues ... until we rebooted and then they would go away (and we could look for REAL bugs 😁) I shat try to do that before reporting any bigs in the future. Um Walt ... as I said in my bug report ...yes it DOES stop the update I am done with this nit picking. A forum should be a free exchange of ideas; bug reports in this case, but nitpicking to the point of absurdity is probably the reason that Affinity is spipping on several fronts

I opened Publisher. There was a document not of my creation. That stopped the upgrade Name it what you will and let me know so we can agree on terms IF you go FILE / NEW you can see the document of which I speak I did not choose FILE / NEW This does NOT happen in the release This happens in the Beta There IS a default document and it looks like this

Update issue in2.1.0.1799 PHOTO and DESIGNER updated but Publisher could not because of an "open document" It took me a second to realize it was a default document (blank and nothing I created) I closed that and updated successfully It seems that this sort of thing should be trapped during the updaye process

I placed one photo in a document with no issue. I then tried to place 3 and when I went to get them the only file typa available was TXT and not even a dropdown for "all files" (Yes I put a "*" in the filename and fot to them that way)

Windows 11 - I loaded your file then exported as 1) a PNG and 2) as a PDF with no issues The path in windows will be something like C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\SerifEuropeLtd.AffinityPublisher2_2.0.4.1701_x64__3cqzy0nppv2rt\App

You definitely have the right idea! One possiblefix exists in charmap. It is not an example of how it should be done but magnifying one character at a time would help solve the problem Recording #8.mp4

This is broken in both the bet and release version If you select and load a sample color and then choose Select / Select sample color" it will select something but not the sample color I've tried this on several graphics. I enclose one that has a lot of separate areas of the chosen color (White in this case) Affinity Select color selection issue.mp4
