  1. When using luminosity shift on selected colour ranges in the HSL panel it makes the colours greyscale. The master colour selection seems to work properly.
  2. Thanks for the answers guys. I still think it's a bit crap. Just put the stroke colour and control next to the font colour. It's not a big ask and it will stop people having to look for it. These types of quirky and awkward designs decisions can be really annoying and put people off.
  3. Yes you can but is is a layer effect. If you use stroke then you can use outline in the the layer effects to have an outline outside of the stroke.
  4. Cheers PixelPest. Well that is a really crappy design move. Now I have to switch to the character panel to change the stroke. I'm sure people would be setting the stroke width more often than using many of the other items on the menu bar for the text tool.
  5. I'm probably being thick here but I can't figure out how to set the stroke width for text. I can set the stroke colour by using the colour picker but I just can't see where to set the stroke width. I'm using 1.7.1.404 windows.
  6. If it does turn out to be the profile passed to the plugins then could there be an option in the preferences for the plugins to not pass it? At least we would be able to use the plugins we have been using. And it would also stop us having to rely on the plugin developers creating a compatible version.
  7. I'm not sure how you are passing the data to the plugin but it does make sense. If the profile is embedded within the data passed to the plugin then maybe some plugins are not coded to cope with the unexpected data. Anyway, I'm sure it will be sorted. Affinity products are all superb. They are rescuing thousands of people from the evil clutches of Adobe.
  8. They had a solution in the last version. Something has changed in 1.7 to stop plugins that worked in 1.6 from working. So it is something for the Affinity team to fix.
  9. I can confirm this. Please fix this. I use Aurora and Luminar from Affinity all of the time. I will have to revert back to the previous version until then.
  10. Please fix this. I use Aurora and Luminar from Affinity all of the time. I will have to revert back to the previous version until then.
  11. Come on guys. Please put a "Make Selection" button onto the new HSL panel. Being able to make a selection of the colour range would make it so much more powerful. We would then be able to use all of the other adjustments and filters on the selected colour range. I'm not complaining. Just asking. Keep up the excellent work Or just send me the source and I will do it
  12. You have a good point though I have listed the topics in the description with quick links so you can go to any topic instantly. Thank you very much. I really love compliments. I am a very shallow person
  13. Haha. Well spotted. You are the first. I made the mistake of calling it a sheep once and then for a bit of fun decided to go with it. Saying sheep over and over again to see if anyone would notice. I took the picture at an alpaca farm. They really are super cute
  14. Here is the second volume of my Ten Top Tips for Affinity Photo. Hope you guys find it useful
  15. Thank you. The link to the macro is in the description about ten lines down. It says "Here is the link to the macro"
  16. The macro link is in the description. I called it an "action". I have just changed the word "action" to "macro" in the description.
  17. I will need to check how Photoshop handles this myself. But it just looks broken to me. You really need to get Photoshop and test AP functionality against it. This is your only real competition. In the end it does not matter what the reasons for design choices are. If it feels wrong to the end user then it is wrong. Sounds to me like you may be being fobbed off by the programmers. I was as a programmer for over 35 years. I know all about fobbing off producers. You need a producer who is just as good as the programmers at programming
  18. Here are two files. One is the jpg I am loading to do the test and the other is a screenshot comparison between the beta and the last release version. As you can see from the screeshot. I am selecting reds on both and then reducing the luminosity to -100 on both. With the beta the reds are becoming desaturated. This happens on every image i try.
