Vector brush performance while drawing with "Rope - Thick" and "Chain" presets is horrible. Not that they are critical brushes but ...

This works correctly on my machine using non sRGB profiles in Affinity. Windows has the monitor set to use it's own profile - see attached screenshot. As above on a machine that doesn't it fails. Either way it is now with development to fix.
My Windows colour settings are the same as Alfred's.

Couple of things I noticed so far:
- Interface & font rendering feels sharper now, much less blurry & less cleartype artefacts, thanks !
- Better color display ?
- No more "system32" default startup folder, also nice !
- Faster app startup, faster document opening, improved responsiveness overall.
- Undocking a panel forces the remaining ones to center, overlaping each other or covering one another, same in Photo.

If you want a special colour profile you just have to install it in the system, after that it will be selectable in the application.

The simpler the brush, the faster it will draw. You can "optimize" a brush by increasing the spacing "parameter" this is valid in most graphic software, other than that not much; the rest is hardware and software limit.
You can switch to nearest neighbour, disable dither & clipping, fastest retina rendering in performance options and disable "show brush preview" in UI to gain some little extra speed.

Color picker does not read anything inside document, (RGB 0,0,0) works if pointed to UI.

I believe there are some cases (like this one) where the functionality is misinterpreted from the phrasing used.
Filters like Dust & Scratches or Chromatic Abberation that remove instead of adding as one would read it.

Is your layer "Image" or "Pixel" ? The last one is what you want, as the first one is still a dynamic original and not completely bitmap, for manipulation purposes. You have to rasterize it first from image to a pixel layer and then do the crop.

To use a special color profile, you download the profile you intend to use, then you copy it into ?:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\color\ (assuming windows) then you configure Affinity to use it for your images (in Affinity apps navigate to Edit / Preferences / Color) you can change rendering intent there too.
If you just want to check colors, you can just use Softproof Adjustment.
For embedding a profile check the "more" tab of the file export options popup and choose there.

Glad you solved it, now its worth pointing that if your monitor(s) have their own drivers (which usually include their custom profile), any video driver change will reset this back and force you to remove it again in control panel. The simpler solution is to just remove any driver for the display(s) and just use the windows generic one (assuming there is no functionality lost that you really need.) this way you'll never need to worry about this.

Draw persona is the default "vector" part of Designer, while Pixel is its "raster" toolset. Affinity Photo's "Photo" persona is very similar to Designer's Pixel persona, with some extras; and also includes a good portion of vector tools from Designer's Draw persona.
The Workbook is for Designer, and you own Photo, from there the confusion. :)

To minimize risk of blurry exports, you have to make sure move by whole pixels & force pixel alignment are turned on (even better if they are on since the creation of your document) and check the object/image/layer width and height values in the the transform tab and at the final export to be integer values. :)

Dragging an image to AP (.png format - to place it inside document) is mistaken as an "abr brush import"; and it leads to an error.
While some might appreciate how easy it is to import brushes that way, I think its not a great way, as it leads to conflicts with image placing.
LE: Forgot to add this is AP CB 1.5.2.63 i'm talking about.

Unhandled Exception (0x80131502) app crash while customizing toolbar; pretty sure last step was to move "assistant" icon to the end; guess he didn't like that :P

The "blend mode" drop down selector in "Layer Effects" panel is very stubborn in this build; it keeps resetting back to the default value, no matter what i change it to.
