You should be able to just select the Artboards en masse and go to the colour or swatches panel and change the background of the artboard by selecting a colour.
Note: using gradients will use the area of both Artboards as can be seen in the video.

Not available directly in Photo or Designer but you can enable the option if you also have Publisher

I believe the OP also has Publisher
If so, from the designer file...
    File > Edit in Publisher
    Text > Show Special Characters
    File > Edit in Designer
Special characters will now be visible in the Designer file and remain visible even after the document is saved and reopened

Rubyjim reacted to Wosven in How can I remove a text formatting and how can I copy a textformatting
You need to look at the Text styles panel:
Here, there's a [no style] for paragraphs and characters styles. That's the ones you want to erase the formatting. In the same panel, you can create text styles, and once you've create your new paragraph style, you'll only have to select another paragraph and click on the paragraph style to apply it.

This would be part of the snapping feature set. Is it possible you've switched snapping off? There is a magnet icon on the toolbar that controls it.

Thanks a lot for your reply, I didn't know corrupt files were an option too. In the meantime I tried everything, including deleting and re-installing the brushes several times and changing all the settings in Affinity and in my Drawing tablet app. But in the end it turns out that my Huion drawing pen needed to recharge  I feel a bit silly now, but I only have to do this twice a year, so I easily forget... The pen still worked with half of my brushes, but not all. It needed to charge for a while, and now magically things work again. Glad it was my pen!

Does other software can showup and open that JPG file? Also are the file access permissions r/w there set for that desktop location?

Export to another format such as PNG. The JPEG format is notorious for producing artefacts around text and at other sharp boundaries between contrasting colours, even at 100% ‘quality’ (i.e. minimum compression).

    Hi there,
Affinity Photo is fairly slow on my current computer - e. g. there is a significant lag when changing a setting in an adjustment layer.
Which compoments of the hardware affect Affinity's performance? Is it supported by the graphics device and can I expect an improvement when buying a more powerful one? Currently there is onboard graphis AMD Radeon HD 8570D.
Or is upgrading the memory more promising? Currently there are 8GB.
My OS is Win 7 Home Premium. System and Software on SSD.
    Best regards - Ulrich

AP doesn't use the GPU much (yet?) so you'll get more benefits from adding memory.

Hi, I am trying to download the following items:
Grade UI Kit Frankentoon - TexturizerPro Brush Pack Tom Chalky - Handcrafted Fonts & Textures However, the downloads are so slow. Not sure, what is the reason. My internet speed is high enough to download contents at at least 2/3 MBPS.
Could you please help. Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Anupam,
It's most likely your internet connection being slow. I've just had a look and we do not have any problems with the download servers.
    Thanks,
    Gabe.

Rubyjim reacted to Mark Ingram in Product Key
@Rubyjim, if you bought the products from our store, you will have had an email with your product key. Also, you can log into the store, and view your product key. Simply copy and paste these into the boxes that ask for them. I think there's even a link on the product key page describing this process.

    Hi mac_heibu,
Thanks for the response. The video was really helpful but …
How do you get the link symbol next to the move tool to turn red so it unlinks? I've tried the obvious in holding down function, control, option, command, delete even escape but no go.
    I'm obviously missing something.
    Cheers

Rubyjim reacted to KrisJa in Export is a total joke...
I have been forced to download and install AF designer because a co-worker created a large number of 'vector' illustrations in AFDesigner.
Since most other staffers use Adobe Illustrator, these files need to be converted.
To my dismay I have found that the export functionality of AFDesigner is a total joke: export formats which should inherently support vectors just contain completely rasterised versions of the artwork.
What on earth is the use of that. You have ZERO interoperability. ZERO...
    What a joke.
There is definitely a need for more tools than just the Adobe monoculture but by doing this, you are just making yourself redundant.

    Hi KrisJa,
    Welcome to the forums
It sounds as though the file is being rasterised on export this could be due to non vector objects within the document. Do you have any Layer FX applied to objects within your document?
    Thanks
    Callum

that only happens when the version you have is the same as the version you are trying to install, so you seem to have already had 128
