    Hey Everyone,
Just felt like posting what I was hoping would be included in the previous contest for promotional artworks but I didn't make it. Understandable because the material is a little risque but here it is in all its glory.
This was created in Affinity Designer with a mix of Vertor shapes used as a mask in the Draw Persona and painting in the Pixel Persona.

Just as the title says, have another checkbox for HSB (Like the HSV option) in the HSL adjustment tool.

    Thanks!

I would like to request the added feature to an adjustment already available.
The HSL adjustment tool to allows you to select the Master and the other major hues. I would like to suggest the addition of range sliders to isolate the amount of any given hue channel to be more specifically targeted. Like in the Photoshop version of the Hue/Saturation tool.
Thank you for all of your continued hard work! (Using Affinity products more and more each day )

Sullyman reacted to Ralf_Maeder in Spot colors and preview color separations
I am a former graphics designer and worked 15 years ago in PrePress.
Nowerdays I still use Macromedia Freehand on Windows for occasional design work and recently purchased Affinity Photo and Designer.

I was looking at the options related to spot colors and noticed that once I created a random color, I can't change this color to be a spot color. In order to create a custom spot color, I have to mark the "spot" box in the color creation tab the moment I create the color. This makes it tedious if the decision to use spot colors is made later on in the design process.

Another issue is how to check or preview correct color separation in respect to spot colors? The reason I chose Affinity as my main tools is because I want to avoid the use of Adobe applications at all cost. Freehand can print separations, which can be saved as PDF and previewed without any third party software. What do you recommend as a workflow for Affinity Designer user in order to check separations of spot colors, but without the need to use costly third party software?

    Ralf Maeder.

If this is already in the road map or else where, then please ignore.

I would like to suggest a few features/behaviors added to type management.

When searching for font I can only get the menu to skip the the first letter. When you have hundreds, maybe evens thousands of fonts this can be daunting task to overtake. I would enjoy being able to type in the font directly or have the skipping feature continue to skip progressively as new characters are typed in. [A] brings up "A" lettered font names, [R] brings up "Ar", bring up "Ari", etc.

I would also suggest the font selection drop down to start from the last font that was chosen.

    Looking forward to 1.6! :)

I mentioned this in another thread but there is another suggestion for screen printing separations...

Having a halftone function that works like Photoshop's to output separated images from AD or AP. Keeping the live preview and split view existing in AP would be stellar as well. I screen print and this is an absolute must have function for me. Being able to set the line frequency and dot size for output is critical to a successful print.
