Don't know if this is something we can put here but i have the rulers on top of the documents tab if you have more than 2 open in Designer. (Didn't test yet the others) Edit: The scale is weird too compared with 2.4.2

I think this will be very usefull for those who have Vulcan Machines with the latest firmware where the machine read the printed QR code and search for the respective cut file in a folder. I will test it and give feedback later. Thanks Edit: Yes the machine read and recognize the QR Code and cut the file correctly. Nice addition to me. Before i have to jump between Affinity and Corel to do that.

Another year and date where these come in handy and wow, 913 downloads! I really need to keep the promise I made last year and make some more. Thank you all of you who have downloaded them, really hope you are enjoying them and most of all that they are helping you in some way. Happy Valentines

Just add a follow up. Uninstalled all betas and all related files, installed them again, ctrl+open and reseted everything, uninstalled everything from the affinity store, reopen the app with all fresh untouched settings and the same problem is there. So i'm done with testing. Really hope you guys can find where the problem is, the only thing i think it's strange is why the retail work well and the betas don't.

So, @Chris B today i've done some more tests trying to find out what's going on. The first was simply turn my laptop on, without anything attached, no external monitor, no mouse, no wacom, the laptop itself and the same happened. So i think it's not additional hardware related. Regarding the slow performance i'm talking about just compare what you see in the video, in the first half the Beta 2 on High Quality, and the second the Retail in Automatic Best. For what i do i can't work with the settings in the beta 2, sorry. I've forgot to mention, the design is built with lot of things so i know it will slow down the preview as shown in the retail, but we are talking about a document with 500x1000 pixels, so a small file, this is just one example. So what i will do now is completely remove all the betas, and will reinstall them to see if i can make it work better. But overall, for the first time i'm not excited to use betas and i've had a lot of headache with some bugs before, but this one is making me almost quit, and again, i will not update when it turns retail if things for me remain the same. @Chris B The app overall seems slower, it even seems to take more time to load files too, but i will change the setting and give this last build a try and will let you know in 2-3 days what i think/feel about that.

Another new build 2157 and the problem is still there. I've double checked all my settings, all are the same, with the exact same file the 2.2.1 retail work well the last betas don't. Please take a closer look to this because i will not update my retail version if this is not solved, because the workarounds cost me performance. Thank you.

@Chris B I know that the fix isn't listed in today beta, but just to confirm that it is hapenning too in 2139, one thing i've noticed when i have used the apps with the retina rendering with high, even with smaller docs, the overall performance of the app is too slow compared to what i'm used to. Don't know if it was expected because of that setting, but i'm now only using retail. ( @MattP know how much i love using beta apps even for daily work 😂 )

@Hangman Nice catch! It is indeed! @Chris B using what Hangman said solve the problem, so the problem for us is related with the retina rendering, if i switch to low quality, or high quality i don't have any issue with the file from the video.

@Chris B Exactly the same or worse... and i have rebooted the machine. Have a look. Afpub12gb.mov Edit: In the 2.2.1 retail that doesn't happen! I've just tested with the exact same file.

@Chris B Mine have 16GB and i didn't touch that settings, but i will try with that value and will let you know if it's better, worse or the same.

Here's my settings in publisher

View > View Mode > Vector

In my specific case, External Monitor in Clamshell Mode, and a Wacom Intuos Pro S 2019 with 6.4.3-2 drivers, because the new ones are so buggy that i can't use them because they crash all the time.

@Chris B I can test that, but today i've had this too with Designer and the font was completely different, doesn't seem to be font related. @Hangman Exactly, that is the same. What OS version do you have? Now i'm with 14.2 beta

@Chris B Yes, i have hardware acceleration checked. I can send you the file, but since it's a client work file i would like to send it to you more privately.

I'm using an external display but as the main one, what is also known as Clamshell Mode, my laptop is closed when i'm working. I've always worked that way and didn't experienced this until the last two betas i guess.

Hi I've just opened the 2.3 version and i've found this when creating a new doc. The horizontal/vertical button is weird. Edit: It's on all 3 apps New Doc Bug.mov

I'm having this too with Designer, and it's there in todays RC1 For what it seems to me, whenever you make any change in the embedded document the original document won't let you save the file.
