Agreed on the collapsable panels into an easy 1-click icon. Also agreed on the contrast. I find it very hard to see where one panel ends and the next begins. It just slows me down because I can easily lose my place when glancing between my artwork and the panel I need.
Totally agree.

I produce publications for three non-profits - I’m using a copy of InDesign which I purchased as a component of CS6 several years ago - neither I nor the non-profits could justify the monthly charges for the latest InDesign. I’d love to switch them all to Affinity Publisher but without Span Columns (and cross-references for longer documents) it wouldn't be a complete solution and therefore I’ll hold off persuading them to adopt it (although I have purchased my own copy).
I am exactly in the case of Adriandw.
I just tried v180 beta, and opened some idml I had created under ID. It works rather well, but I was very disappointed to see that spanned columns (in ID) are not yet spanned (in APub), even in v1.8.
I am afraid to have to wait v2 and then to pay v2 to have that feature absolutely essential for any professional publisher, even for non-profits organisations.
So, please, add span column feature in v 1.x

Thanks Dan C
But when Photoshop opens a PDF file containing texts, it contains only one layer, and no text. All is pixel.
Anyway, thanks.

Hi all
I have some AP files containing pixels and text (text in separate layers). Now, for some reasons, I have to edit those pieces of text in Adobe Photoshop (change color, font, add/delete letters, and so on).
To try to do that, I have exported my AP files in PSD format, then opened then in Photoshop.
Unfortunately , when I try to edit imported file in Photoshop, Photoshop says : "That text layer must be pixellised before to continue. Then text cannot be modified. Will you to pixellise text ?" (Sorry for my poor english).
Does it exist a solution to modify in Photoshop text which has been created in AP ? Perhaps by some options of exporting in PSD from AP ?
Thanks in advance.

If I understood other topics in this forum correctly, master pages cannot hold text frames to be filled in the actual pages. You need to add a page based on the master page and add text frames to that concrete page.
Thanks Christoph. It is a very weird behavior. ID manages perfectly text frames in master pages and it is very useful. I hope official issue of APub will get that.

Yes, count me also as requester for that feature : span title or any paragraph from 2 to all columns of the text frame.

I hope so. I have not found the way to import a long doc (.doc) across multiple pages. I also had to link each text frame in every page. Too bad.
Neither I was able to drag a doc file from Windows Explorer. Is it possible ?

Hello
Today I've just bought Affinity Designer. The french page (https://affinity.serif.com/fr/designer/) displays :
Offre spéciale. Ancien prix 49,99 € - offre actuelle : seulement 39,99 €
Though I had no choice, After I have entered my credit card numbers, I had to pay 49.99 €
Now what can I hope ?
Sorry for this first negative post, because Affinity Designer seems to be awesome !

Yes. I do so. It is working rather well to be imported in aPub.
But it is an additional thing to do. So for me it is not a priority.
