Hi all, there is most probably an existing answer to my question, but after multiple searches I still cannot find it. I urgently need an answer as I'm on a deadline here. PROBLEM: In DrawPlusX8 I was able to put text on top/before or below/behind a photograph on the same layer. After selecting both objects, I could crop the two to make it look as if the text is filled with the photograph. I've been looking to get the same effect in Affinity Designer, but no result. How do I do this? Thank you.

Hi all, I've been wondering what the situation presently is with using PhotoShop plugins together with Photo. I have managed to install a whole range of 3rd party plugins (ex. Topaz) and they work in Photo without a problem. But, I don't know what the situation would be in the case of 3rd party Lightroom Presets. So, I'm wondering if there's anybody who can provide an informative list of what would work and what not. I saw on another thread that extensions won't work, but because I haven't worked with PhotoShop for so many years, I have no idea what will be classified as extensions and what is classified plugins. Thank you.

Hi, I've been using both Designer & Photo now for about a week, and I've completed a load of advanced tutorials in both to get to the basics up to more advanced stuff. However, the one tutorial that I cannot find is how to interlock overlapping segments of objects. Think the Olympic rings. I'd really appreciate it if there's someone who can guide me in this regard. Thanks for a very prompt reply. I appreciate it. I managed to install all the brushes, but not the Daub papers. When I right-click on it, there is no "open", but only "open with" and a prompt that I'm not able to open/read the file.

Hi, I bought Designer yesterday and installation of it went smoothly. Together with my purchase, I also received zip files of the following add-ons: Daub essentials, Grade UI Kit, and The Box Set. I unzipped all of them, and all the needed files seem to be there - including guide.pdf for each add-on, but there is no explanation anywhere for how I should install these. If I simply move these folders to the Affinity folder on the install path, where do I move them to? Thank you
