  1. ( Feels like I am throwing my own tantrum in the Questions & Feedback section ) When I copy an image from the web, and just paste it in Affinity Designer it appears a different color. And when I save the image on my Desktop, and open it from my Desktop, it opens as the original color from the web. Is there any specific reason for this, or is it simply color profiles that I have to mess with, in order to achieve the same results whether I copy paste or download the image from web?
  2. Oh wow. Didn't knew such option existed. Wonderful! Thanks for the reply. :D
  3. Is there any possible way to hide the blue bounding boxes when you select an element in Affinity Designer?
  4. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq4QUi_lGqk&feature=youtu.be - Found out that Filmora allows you to set a ratio for 800x600, so now I can easily make a Dribbble animation shot, hooray.
  5. Couldn't recreate the gradient effect within Webflow, but a mini-animation done with Webflow and recorded with Gyazo GIF to preview how it works. -
  6. So in a way from what I read, rather if I worry about it or not, at the end of the day, it will be different results on different monitors etc.?
  7. Can the kind of PC you have affects how your UI designs previews on different sites or when peoples see it? So lets say if someone design a Visual UI with gradients + gradient background + neon shadows on a High-End PC, will it still look good on low-end PC or it does not matter on which PC you made it, aside from it looking better on your High End PC due of better capabilities? Probably I already know the answer to this, but it is something I am trying to figure it for the UI's I have done so far. And I currently only have Dell Inspiron 15 (Which I am thankful for, if not I wouldn't be able to use Affinity Designer), but was wondering the weird graphic ish I get for gradients or blur etc. is related to the specs of my Laptop or is that a software issue?
  8. Alright, as I am browsing through Dribbble whic hI have been for a while, I see these animated UI, and most of them uses mac software or Adobe After Effects. But I do not have the amount credits needed to purchase any kind of Adobe products (Want to avoid using any of that), and is looking for a way to save a video format into a GIF. Like I am using Webflow to make animation, and then record it, but don't have any way to save GIF whatsoever. And of course Affinity currently don't have the feature for creating mini-animated UI. So what can you guys recommend for Windows Users?
  9. In case anyone wants to keep been updated of all the designs I do, since I am treating this journal more for the Daily UI practice, you can do so at : https://www.pinterest.com/brianhermelijn/personal-visual-design-collection/
  10. Been a while since I last seen pixel art cityscape. Good stuff.
  11. Audio quality turned out a bit too... yeah... oh well. Finish not perfect. Will be having a new microphone soon, but overall a mini-video of where it all started for me when it comes to design. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtauHpHmaeY
  12. Minor revision of https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/31582-brian-hermelijn-visual-design-journal/?p=157686 I felt the colors was too constraty so decided to tone it down a bit and make it feel much softer overall.
  13. Redesign of the first design that I did for the Daily UI (Not really Daily) - BEFORE - AFTER - The intention of the redesign was to make it more subtle and feel a bit lighter.
  14. - Will follow up with an animation with this one soon. Idea is simply to click on the button and a popup message appears saying Merry Christmas.
  15. I figured what I was doing wrong. I was trying to change colors of a pixel layer, instead of the rectangle. Like filling up a pixel layer, and changing the color, so its working fine. Its working as intended, it was the rectangle I had to use, to allow me to change colors of it even when I click it back.
  16. Didn't notice huge spikes in memory, but I do get random crashes here and there, which is a bummer for such a good software. Hope we can see more performance issues fixed for next year.
