  1. I would like to chime in on this as well. I currently cannot use Affinity Designer for the commercial work I do. Though I love the tools and the non-destructive vector effects. I am a Prepress Technician/Graphic Designer and all our files need to be prepared with the correct overprints and verifiable color separations. This is the first step in the Quality control process, and every print company I have worked for does this. Exporting to PDF, (which is not always accurate) is a workaround, which simply adds another step to the process, Not to mention, if you are going to pay the sub for Acrobat, you might as well pay the sub for Illustrator. Acrobat should not be a solution for this issue.
  2. Using Designer 1.9 on a Mac and a PC I would like to be able to tab through the numeric values in the Layer Effect window. For example: Adding a Shadow to an asset. 70% opacity <tab> The expectation is that the courser would go to the next field, in this case "radius" However, the tab simply functions as an enter for the Opacity setting and I have to physically click in the next field to change the numeric values. Additionally, a feature I would like to see, is the ability to copy a Layer Effect and paste it to another object in my illustration. Currently, right clicking on a layer and selecting copy simply copies the layer itself. (if the feature to copy a Layer Effect exists, I have not found it.)
  3. I have searched through all of the existing keyboard shortcuts looking for this. Being an illustrator, and using the pencil tool frequently. I often find myself toggling sculpt on off. It was my hope to find a keyboard shortcut for this, but I have been unsuccessful. Could this be added to the Miscellaneous category of the keyboard shortcuts so that a hot key can be assigned?
  4. I agree. Every object drawn on a layer becomes an element/sublayer. I don't need to see them all, especially when using brush strokes or doing illustration. I only need to see the primary layer that I am working on.
  5. Ricky, I am not sure if you've noticed this, but you can scale brush strokes by toggling the scale with object check box in the "Stroke" panel. That will allow for you to scale your fern to any size you wish without losing the integrity of the illustration.
  6. I know this has been rehashed multiple times, but I am desperate for a contour/offset tool. Working in the print industry, I need to be able to show bleeds around a die cut and unfortunately a bleed set up for an art board just won't work for customer approval layouts. Granted it can be done manually and there are ways to work around it, but training artists in a work around just isn't practical. In reality, this one tool is keeping me from migrating our art department to Using Affinity Designer as our primary layout software. I would love to move away from other applications (and their monthly payments - you know who I mean :) completely. Additionally, when placing an object, Affinity Designer automatically embeds the artwork. I can't seem to find a way to make it stay a linked object. Am I missing something? With a step and repeat linked object, I'd like to modify one piece of artwork, not every instance as it is stepped through an imposition set up.
