Last year Iafter I graduted, I worked as an IDX designer at a mobile phone company. Like most companies in China, employees worked almost 12 hours a day at this company. I did not have so much time to study or improve my skills at that period. The same year, Chinese developers launched a campaign called "996ICU" to against this huge exploitation. In the spring of 2019, I quited the job.
Now, I want to change a lillte bit of this world, and tell meyself, how many beautiful views that I can find out after quiting 996.
I will keep updating.

Yes, it's that time of year again. My Christmas video is made with a 'borrowed' image, chopped up and manipulated with Affinity Photo, animated with Anime Studio (a third-party package marketed by  Serif a few years back) and brought together in Serif MoviePlus X6. Merry  Christmas!

It's very quiet here in 'Designer' development for Mac last months.
I understand you're focused now on iPad version and on finishing Publisher beta.
But can you inform us what are your plans for 'Designer' in 2018/2019?

I noticed Illustrator's Blend tool is one the Roadmap a well. Is that planned for 1.7 as well, and will it allow us to have gradients follow an arbitrary path?

Going quite well. What do you think? Personally I get on with the brush engine. Would like a colour picker, ( floating colour wheel) but never mind.
Got about half way with this scene up to now.

Only a personal opinion, and I hope you don't mind, but I much prefer the older logos. The new Affinity Publisher logo seems particularly bland ( sorry! ). As Ulrik says, it is the software that is most important. Only best wishes from me for those.

We non-iPad users are feeling a bit left out as the IOS platform receives all the love in beta updates.
 
Please show us some love too  ;)    When is 1.6 Beta 2 coming out.  It's been more than a month since the last beta release.

Might it help to explain or lay out some of that method? Don't know. I for one would rather you guys stay the course and forge ahead keeping things moving in a forward direction.

Well you can import photoshop brushes but then again Affinity has a good enough brush engine to paint whatever you like. i suggest as I did to make a few of your own from affinity tools and get painting. You don't need a lot in reality the brushes really don't matter, the default basic brushes are good enough. Find what you like and tweek in the settings, Fancy brushes are well... not really fancy.. your ability is. That is the bottom line. I paint just as well in affinity as Corel Painter and that cannot be bettered as a brush engine so go figure. hope this  clarifies things. T. What you already have are riches beyond imagining believe me.

Please, more on the Apply Image/Equations. That 'lerp' is really useful.

I found a nice tutorial on making vector fur, but it depends on blending/replicate, one of the things on the roadmap we are waiting for still on Affinity Designer.

I am sure someone else made a lovely vector fur effect on the forums 18 months or so ago, but I cannot find it I am sorry.

On the MacBook the updates are through the Apple Store. Just click on the Apple Store icon in your dock, then the updates arrow at the top right, and if there are any updates available, click to download. You may need to sign in with your Apple ID of course. 
For the betas, if there isn't a prompt when you open the beta app stating that a new beta version is available, simply click the forums tab at the top of this page, click on either Affinity Photo for Mac beta, and the latest beta is available there to download. Same with Affinity Designer on Mac beta.
