• It´s just a fact: dark text on bright Background is easier to read than vice versa.

 

But a light background in an imaging app changes the image impression.

 

So the question is now, what is more important, the image fidelity or the GUI readability.

Black on white would be best for readability, but there are many other ways to make the GUI easier to read

that have less impact on the image display.

[Color Issue when using color management]

Your screen profile seems to be off.

 

Re-profile your screen and make sure that the new profile is set to the active profile in Windows.
