I have included screenshots below showing the Start menu tiles with both light and dark themes.  While the Affinity Start menu tile looks even worse on a light theme, the issue in the original post remains regardless of colour theme.

It seems as though the icon needs more padding and also the icon background changed to transparent so that the tile background colour shows the Windows theme set by the user and matches the rest of their Start menu tiles.

All 3 programs (Photo 2, Designer 2 and Publisher 2) were opening just fine when first installed. After an update to 2.0.3 the original desktop application shortcuts stopped working and so I created new shortcuts to the updated versions of the software. These do not work! The actual .exe files in the program folders do not work! This is absolutely unacceptable and is definitely the last time I ever buy this software.

Now, the ONLY way I can open my software is by clicking on the actual installation files. That results in a dialog box opening, saying the software is already installed... and asking if I want to reinstall or launch? Clicking 'launch' actually works. This means I need about 1.6GB of files sitting on my desktop that I do not want there!!! just to be able to use the software I paid for.

I'm working on web design a lot and I love Affinity Designer. This week I had to create an icon (favicon to be precise), which I obviously designed in Designer.
 
So far so good, but there seem to be no way of exporting an image as *.ico.
 
Are there any plans for adding support for ico files?

...as this is way too long. And don't ask to reduce font count.
