  1. I just downloaded another type of design illustrator... im having the same issue with it as well. is there something im missing in my mac that its not reading some type of file? I guess i need to take it into a mac store, which i really dont want to do, but looks like its my only option.
  2. okay, i tried making a new user, no avail. Same problems. EVERYTHING else works just fine on my mac. Pro Logic, Firefox, Itunes, photos, facetime, my drawing tablet, icloud, etc etc etc Also, RAM or space isnt the problem either. I don't want to, but it feels like i should just get a refund and try my services else where, even though the customer service has been kind, i have deadlines to meet. this is very frustrating.
  3. MEB, No new fonts downloaded yet. all fonts are fine, I checked them. RCR, I ran the disk utility a few times now, all systems are go. I'm going to try the new user idea and see if that works. This is so aggravating because it worked for a few hours. After i first downloaded it.
  4. update. still the same problem. I open the app. the interface is there including the home page intro. i go to start a new document and the pinwheel keeps spinning. im constantly forced to "force quit" the app.
  5. I'm going to download the new Mac Sierra operating system in hopes that changes the outcome. update after the download finishes
  6. no worries, thanks for trying to give a little help bud! C'mon you gunners... if you're into that stuff ;-P
  7. Not one program is open. i have 32RAM on this macbook pro. 1Terabyte of space, plus back up hard drives if i need them. space or ram isn't an issue for me at least. every other program works flawlessly. i can open my sessions on pro logic, no problem... Ive closed, force quit and restarted the mac about 20 times since i woke up a few hours ago.
  8. I'm trying to get information on why my affinity designer is not working. It did work for about an hour... Until now. I open the app, the start up screen shows, and as soon as i try to start a brand new session(or any session) the pinwheel spins and i have to force quit the application. It worked two days ago, as i have started a very time sensitive project using this app. Ive sat at my computer literally going crazy for about 10 hours trying to find out how to get this thing to work. well... I fired it up last night in hopes it'd work, and it did i tried a few things on my project got tired went to bed, woke up to work again, and its not responding, again... I'm currently running the latest mac El Capitan. My Affinity app is 3 days old, my computer has all brand new software and hardware, it literally hasn't been used more than a few weeks. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared using control key. etc etc etc... Why is it not working now? Anyone else having problems or have had this problem?
