Yes, that's why it doesn't do what you wanted. You need to ungroup the group, choose the Node Tool and break both curves in strategic places (using the 'Break Curve' button in the Action section of the Context toolbar) and then 'Join Curves' (also  in the Action section of the Context toolbar) to create three separate shapes that you can fill. You're going to require two copies of the small separator lines, so after you've isolated them with 'Break Curve' actions I suggest that you copy them so that they're available for pasting back in later on.

This big happens with objects that have masks too. I have a masked pizza, (I work for a pizza chain) and seems that pasting a shadow effect to get the same size radius and distance is never consistent. I get all sorts of variations of the effect and I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the fact that there's a mask and AD/AP reads the entire object pixels and applies it with that instead of the mask size.

Just ran test on my theory and it seems this is the case for me in my masked object (pizza in this case). AD/AP disregards that there is mask applied and doesn't apply the fx to the masked object but calculates the paste on the total pixel count of the object. I hope they look into this! Defeats copying and pasting styles if there are masks. In order for me to get the exact size shadow effect I had to rasterize the masked pizza to get a consistent paste.

    Hi, Marcuss,

Copying a style and copying an fx are 2 different things, as I think you've noticed. I'm not sure what happened w. your attempt, but I made 2 text string layers, both Arial font, but different point sizes. When I applied both an outer shadow and an outline to the larger, and then copied them to the smaller, the point sizes of the fx stayed the same. Point sizes of the effects stayed the same when I changed the font on the smaller.  So I don't quite know what happened w. your case. Maybe just try again.

    Okay, sorry, Madame …  :(

Use the Triangle Shape Tool, and make sure that the bounding box of the triangle you create is twice as wide as high. Then place the first triangle according to the intended start position (think of how the entire figure could be created by rotating the triangle round the center). Now create a copy, hold Shift (thereby constraining the rotation angle), rotate the copy and move it to the intended second position (make sure to snap to object bounding boxes). Then just hit Cmd+J, thereby invoking the power duplicate feature, as shown here:

    Hope that helps …  :)

    Hi Marcusss,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Affinity Designer has two brush engines: one is vector based (relies on vectors paths for the brush strokes which can then be edited if needed) and is used in Draw Persona. The other is a raster based engine and is used in Pixel Persona and in Affinity Photo (our RAW converter/developer and photo editing app). This one doesn't rely on any vector paths. It's a more conventional raster painting engine.
Each engine and their respective brushes settings/attributes is different and so the brushes only work with the engine they were created for.

    Hey guys,

I just recently found out about the live perspective filter – how could I miss this important filter?! :o
This filter is awesome! It’s similar to my beloved Smart Objects from Photoshop, if not better considering
in combination with other live filters like DOF!

So I thought why not share my first »just-replace-and-you’re-ready-to-go« file. :D
In case you want to try – here’s the download. A nice and simple DIN letterhead mockup to demonstrate
how cool this filter works, maybe it saves you time somehow. ;)

You may need to further adjust it to your liking.

    Have a nice day
    Dennis

    Hi HXY,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
I believe you're using Affinity Designer. If that's the case, click on the second icon on the top left of the interface right below the traffic lights to change to Pixel Persona, then go to the Brushes tab on the right and click the dropdown. The imported brushes should appear listed on the bottom.
