Do I have to create the curve manually with the control handle? It says on page 95 "You should aim to get natural and accurate results without having to edit the curve."

I'm trying to do the "Curves, shapes, and Pen Mode" guitar exercise in the workbook. I can't figure out how to trace the curves. Any help would be appreciated. Kevin
