Opening/importing Freehand

Thanks to all who answered my question. I have all the files for our company catalog in PDF format and was successful in opening one as a trial and all went well. This saved me countless hours of work. Again, Thanks to all.

Can't open Freehand Files

I just purchased Affinity Designer V1.5.3 from the Apple store because I read in one of these forums that it would open Freehand Files. The post was dated 2014 so I assumed I would be able to open these files. So far I haven't been able to. If anyone knows the answer to my question, I would appreciate the help.
