Hi! Here are some observations after some time using Affinity Designer: ( • You can make things faster with the key ALT for copying objects, like if i press the ALT key before i select the object, it does the same function if i seletected the object before. It's annoying to select it before, then press ALT... • Why dont you use some similar shortcuts from adobe? Like CRTL+D to duplicate? CRTL+SHIFT+O to convert to curves, it would be easier to walk beetwen those apps. • It looks like "layers" is equal to "objects" in your interface, that's really confusing... why not separate functions related to object in another menu. For example, changing object's opacity in another toolbox than "layers". This is like a "photoshop layers" mindset, wich is not the same for vector designers. • An easyer way to lock an object? Not hidden inside a context menu? If i click in the "lock" region, it open the layer's name edition... however, if i click in the lock icon, it disables it. Same "place" but not the same behaviour. • Any chances of keeping the same layer when i copy an entire artbord? It creates a new layer each time (or put an option to disable it). • I really love the option "Object selection by path only" from Adb illustrator. In Affinity i have to press "alt" every time. Any way to put an option to configure that. • The SHIFT key works to resize objects proportionally sometimes, sometimes not. It does not work with grouped objects... wich is confusing. • I have to press OK to align objects?? Really? Just do it... and i use CRTL+Z if i regret that. • Sometime it automatically goes to artboard tool... dont know why, but there is some small artboards created by accident in my files. • A better feedback when i select an object inside a group? Perhaps like Adobe Illustrator? • Sometimes, after pasting an object, it does not appear in the screen. It shows after i move it with keyboard direction keys. (PS. A grouped object) • Can the eyedropper copy object styles too? Like strokes and both colours (fill and stroke)? • A better feedback when i search a new fontname in the character toolbox? It use a really discreet colour to show the selected font. • When i click a shortcut for a tool like "V" and i'm already in that, it goes to another tool (probaly the last one before)... it lead me to confusion. Hi there, First of all, i'm loving Affinity! I'm testing the windows betas and i will need about 5 licenses of each application very soon. But, for me, it's been very hard to use it because the selection of objects in Affinity designer. I've found the option "Select object when intersects with selection marquee", wich supose to be se same as "Select object by path only" in illustrator, but it's not exactly. The main problem is when i try to select objects in front of a bigger object... it selects the bigger one and i cant get those i wanted. I think this option is kind of useless with this behavior. I know there is a possibility to use layers... but it will create a artwork with a lot of layers to make small selections, can be not productive. I do preffer to use layers for important things. Is there a possibility to change this in a near future? Thanks
