  1. I support this 100%."Feeling" is the right word. Been working on brushes for AP for a few weeks and I'd say this: They look fantastic. The customizability and flexibility is great. But there is some initial little lag when you draw lines. I'd guess that technically the brush engine is very robust already but the feeling part is "close, but not exactly there yet". This fixed, plus a good way to always be able to rotate the canvas and a few little things like brushes right click menu for quick changes etc and I have my "go-to" solution for everything. If anyone from Serif reads this: are you working closely with people from the concept art/illustration community? There are tons of people in England, let alone Games Workshop in Nottingham who produce massive amounts of high level paintings. On Artstation you could click my link, type in the city you're in and see some really good illustrators to work with face to face. https://www.artstation.com/search/artists I mean hey, one can dream. So far I really like my Affinity Suite and would love to use it even more
  2. No, it is off. Unless you tell me there is a hidden setting somewhere besides the checkbox in the topbar I'm super sorry for the bad quality capturing, but I tried to screen record it with OBS, which didn't capture the cursor well enough so you could really see what is going on. So I improvised and recorded it with my old iPhone. As you can see, I used the standard 1px brush to make it clear. Behavior is the same all across the brushes, no matter if they have textures, no textures, standard brushes or the ones I made myself. Hope it helps in any way.
  3. I have a similar thing, maybe it is the same. I would describe it like that: it feels as if I had the Stabilizer activated and on a very low setting like 1-5 or something like that. As if the cursor would "wait" until I moved a little bit. Turning Windows Ink off feels a little faster, so it is probably the same problem. If the pen hits the tablet, the dot is made instantly. If I move the pen very slightly ( I'd say 1-2mm in real), the lag appears. If I make longer strokes, all works well. Other than that the performance of all brushes was improved quite a bit in the last months. Edit: I'm on Windows 10 with a Wacom Intuos Pro.
  4. Hey guys, I thought since I retouched and edited my texture pack with Affinity Photo, I might as well share it here with you guys. The first 10 people using the code "affinity" at the checkout get 25% off. So, for a single person that'll be only 3$ for over 50 textures https://gumroad.com/l/xqAlo Hope you like it. I just can not wait to work more with Photo, it gets better each time and I gladly ditch other software for it. If you have questions, ideas or anything, please let me know. I'm more than happy to help! Have a good day!
  5. Hi guys! First off, I'm coming from an art background, so you see where my ideas are coming from and what I do with AP. You did an amazing job with the recent updates of the brush engine in Affinity Photo, I really like to play with it and the performance got much better for painting. My 2 cents: could you give the color picker (alt key when you use the brush tools) a little bit more thought? There is always a 1 second delay and it makes working slower than any other painting software I used so far. Also, the "magnifying glass effect" (for a lack of a better word) should be optional. Can't really imagine why I'd want to have that. The scrubby zoom could benefit from an option to not snap on 50% and 100%. Super useful often times but in some cases it may be better to turn it off. I know, Painting is not the main focus of the application, but it could become a real alternative for Illustrators and concept artists if small things like this would be solved. Look at how many painters are out there, just check ArtStation.com for example. Thank you Best wishes Flo
  6. Hi guys, just tried to install it under Windows 10, and the installer didn't even start. It asked me for permission to install, I granted and nothing happened after that. Downloaded the installer again, didn't work. Restarted the system and even that didn't work. Is there everything fine with the installer? I'll try at home later, too. The machine is up to date with an i7, 32gb of Ram and a Geforce 1070 GPU. Can't wait to check Publisher out finally!
