Yes, absolutely! Especially in a beta(!) of version 1(!!)
    Just dream on!
And believe me: I am working in print industries for decades, and all, you think is absolutely necessary in a pre version one release was possible times ago without any special command/feature within an application. It simply requires a certain amount of work and creativity.
Understand me correctly: I don’t say, these feaures are unnecessary. But I say, expecting them in a version one of a new publisher is unworldly. And saying, it is not possible to use the app („… I can’t print a single thing!“) is …

    1. You're assuming that we work the same way that you work. You're also assuming that your way is best.
    2. You seem to be the odd one out here.
    3. Designer is a vector drawing and illustration application - not a technical drawing application. I'm sorry that it doesn't have the features that you require, so you should probably look into getting a refund and / or using a different piece of software for your needs.
I've spent enough time trying to point out that we're trying to help here, but as you're just ranting about our methods, and not bringing anything constructive to the discussion, I'll be switching back to helping other customers on the forum.

I just want to bring this post back to the top and dwell on it for a little while... You know I can't help but say a little too much most of the time, but I've been told in no uncertain terms that I'm not allowed to confirm or deny the function of these buttons... So I was trying to think what I could say about the subject, so: They're not there by accident. They're not placeholders. They're awesome. Nobody else offers this, nor could they.
So my question to you is: What do you think they do?

Affinity Publisher sneak peek! Just to prove we're not making the whole thing up, check out this early build of our DTP app. Still lots of perfecting to do; expect the beta next summer. Enjoy.
Update: I think we have answered all the questions we can about Publisher before the beta starts. Hopefully the public beta will answer any remaining questions when it starts at the end of August.

    Updated with 24 new tools!

These are 16bit capable, this means that if you want to perform further manipulations to your rasterised layers, these will be much more precise and tones will be smoother.

Paekke reacted to Richard S. in List of Resources.
Just an idea, but would it make sense for staff to create a sticky thread, which basically acts as a list of all resources shared by members?
The list could display each contributing member's name, followed by the list of their resources, or alternatively, listed by type of resource (Macros / Brushes) etc.
This would prevent having to scroll down through potentially hundreds of separate threads.
The users could still post their specific threads here, but the top thread could be made sticky - listing them all.
All the users / creators would need to do would be to request that their resource gets added to the list.
If each member who thinks this is a good idea "likes" this post, it will then be easier for staff to see if the community likes this idea or not (without having to post lots of separate +1 posts.)
    Just an idea :)

Hear me out.. Why not let AD do the work for you.. So instead of the user having to find layers and groups by scrolling, it should just jump right to the selected object/group in the Layer PaneI. I mean AD highlights selected, but it could just as well jump to it.  I would LOVE to see this added

Paekke got a reaction from LilleG in Ability to add N number of new points between points
yes this and sliding nodes on the curve, which means the curve shape remains, but the point moves on it.
I too would love the ability to extrude edges, so the workflow would remind of 3d modeling in top ortho view.
BTW: you can get a circle with 8 nodes by using the Cloud Tool then set the number of bubbles to 4 and move the red node outwards so that it shapes like an circle. Then convert to curves.

Sorry, if this has been posted already (search didn't show up results), but would like to see a "Stroke Selection" feature in APhoto.
Eg, create any combination of lasso, circular, rectangular selection and stroke it with a color and a specific point size.
