  1. Hey Travis,

If you Option Click on the thumbnail for the layer you want to work on in the layers panel it will solo the layer...

I'm on a Mac so I hope the option key is the same.

Yes you can solo object, but you can't alter it. Once you start to add objects to it, or change the nodes, all other objects will appear. You can change the color of the solo object, add gradient and transparent tool though.

So I guess you can't really call it a useful solo option.. At least not in my opinion.

  2. The ability to add N number of new points, evenly spaced, between the selected points.

I know this can be done manually by clicking the line. That functionality is great and works very well but doesn't help, if you want precise placement of multiple points.

    Ideally I'd be able to:

    1) make a circle

    2) convert to curves (now I have a curve with 4 nodes)

    3) select those 4 nodes and add "N" nodes between selected nodes

    4) (so if I chose to add 1 node between selected nodes) I now have the same circle shape but with 8 evenly placed nodes

yes this and sliding nodes on the curve, which means the curve shape remains, but the point moves on it.

I too would love the ability to extrude edges, so the workflow would remind of 3d modeling in top ortho view.

BTW: you can get a circle with 8 nodes by using the Cloud Tool then set the number of bubbles to 4 and move the red node outwards so that it shapes like an circle. Then convert to curves.

  3. There's no default shortcuts for Default colours as far as i know. You have to set it up manually trough Custom Shortcuts.

Since program's functions/menus are different from one app to the other i don't think it's a good idea to mix their shortcuts's files.

If you place your cursor over the yellow triangle for a few moments a tooltip should appear telling you where it's also being used.

now, it would be nice if you could click that triangle, and Affinity would show all conflicting parts. This way you could easily change them.
