What annoys me is the live preview of the stroke is normal, no struggles, no changes in the flow of the curve or the width. But as soon as I move my pen away, Affinity changes it. Most times big changes appears, but ever time it will change it one way or the other. Now it is worth mentioning that it is when the strokes are long, but we should be able to make other than fur strokes. Now I don't agree in the part of extra refinement is almost always needed. I draw like I draw on paper, I do however use ⌘Z ;)

Hello all.. I'v spend most of my life drawing and painting, finetuning the flow of my strokes and the pressure. As much as I LOVE :wub: Affinity Designer, I hate the brushstrokes just as much, if not more. When I draw or paint, I know how much pressure I should put on my tool, and I WILL end up being satisfied with the result. In Affinity Designer however, there's this annoying :angry: autocorrect/smoothing function that makes it impossible to get what you want. I really wish that this behaivour would be an option, and not something we should be forced to adapt to. Why?.. Well I just explained why.. I know how I want my strokes, my hand and brain works perfectly together, they are a good team, who would have thought that? :P and then this bully Affinity Dersigner shows up and cleans out everything, leaving a mess :( . Stroke width is screwed up, and the flow of the stroke too. Please, Please, PLEASE CHANGE THIS. This should only be an option to turn on for those who haven't learned to draw, or those who's using a mouse. Sorry for sounding cocky, in the last part. Now just to be clear here, I'm talking about the Vector Brush

Maybe I should be more specific. When I said hole I ment a hole in the shape of the object, not an circle. Now it would be nice to have an dropdown where you could choose which shape you want to subtract, but also maybe a little too much to ask for. ;)

Hi there. I might be the only one to want this, but I would really like to see an option to make holes in all shapes, and not just for the donut and cog. Anyone with me on this?..

Why not use the 1.000.000 x zoom?.. it's there, use it, if it helps.

you don't need to. Just select the node with the node tool and delete it, and you should be left with only one node.

Yes it needs an angle to work.

Hey didn't we used to have a hold a button and click layer way to zoom to selected. I don't mean ⇧⌘0 or am I dreaming again?.. :unsure:

Whats the difference between bake corners, and convert to curves?.. seems to me it's doing the same.

After the new update today it works, didn't work last night. Yup I slept well as always. Still not sure why I didn't notice I was using the wrong brush.. :unsure:

Now I can't get the ⌘click layer to work, anyone having the same issue?.. But ⌘click layer works in the new Affinity Designer Beta this makes an selection. :)

I don't know how I missed it, but I missed the part about the corner tool and the text on a path.. The Corner Tool is awesome, really fun to play with. Now I know that I can skew objects. ;)

Thx again. Nice with the keys to change opacity, and for converting to curves. Shortcuts, shortcuts, shortcuts :D And glad to have the colorpicker behave as it should. Quick question.. when using the brush, the opacity shortcut doesn't work until the stroke is finished, then you can set the opacity with the shortcut.

looks a bit like the mirror tool as we know it in the 3D world.

Thanks for the FAST answer, not that I needed it fast, but still nice :) would also be nice to be able to switch off the bitmap boxes in outline mode.

Hi what are these boxes I see in outline mode?.. Also the paintbrush in pixel persona makes all these small boxes as well, and I'm not painting, just moving the brush around. Funny they only appears in one side of the canvas.

It seems that you have to release the pen, if you want to adjust hardness right after size. You just can't make both in one go. I hope they will fix this. Also The preview is too hard to see, give it a bright color, I'm an old man :P Also the shortcuts in Pixel Persona doesn't exist. B for Paint Brush and E for Erase Brush.. Just to name a few.
