  1. AFFINITY PHOTO WISH LIST (NOT in order of importance - just a list that I hope would be considered at some stage in the future) Hi, After playing with Affinity Photo some more, here is my list of possible improvements / features which hopefully will be considered for future versions :) The ability to snap the "Tools" panel onto the side of other panels. At the moment it seems that you can only undock it from the left-hand-side? Display a blue line when snapping 2 panels side-by-side (just as an indicator that snapping / docking is about to take place). The ability to display ANY panel in any persona. Example - be able to display the "Export Options" and "Slices" panels in the main Photo persona (without having to change personas). The ability to display the pixel distances between objects on the canvas, when dragging an object. This helps to ensure equidistant spacing of objects. The ability to save a shape on the canvas as a brush. This affords the ability to easily create grunge / dust effects. The ability to create and save patterns, which can then be used as fills. Some kind of "Looks" panel, which affords the ability to add specific looks to compositions, such as "Light Leaks", or B&W presets. Users could then share self created presets. The ability to dock / snap collapsed palettes to the underside of the horizontal ruler (or the "Context Toolbar") - thus allowing the right-hand-side of the UI to display more of the actual image. A "Filters" browser - which displays a preview of each filter, and the effect it will have on the image. Rename the menu option "Layer > Merge Visible" to "Layer > Merge Visible to New Layer", as I presumed that option simply merged all layers. Inclusion of the "Assets Panel" in order to have quick access to regularly used composition objects. Improved Macro capability, so as to be able to export images or open guide manager windows etc. The ability to increase thumbnail size in the layers panel. The ability to set a "colour tag" to individual layers in the layers panel. The ability to export multiple layers as separate files (without having to create slices). Create a separate slider for the "noise" option at the bottom of the Colours panel. I never even realised the dot to the left toggled between opacity and noise :( The ability to move the assistant popup window from it's fixed top right position, as it is hidden by all of my panels. The ability to use the Macro function to record keyboard shortcuts. Noise slider added to the global colour panel. The ability to record a macro which simply opens up a filter's dialogue window without having to apply the actual settings (basically - just display the dialogue) The ability to remember the Library's collapsed / uncollapsed state upon reopening. The ability to have a specified macro autorun upon the startup of AP These are just a few personal preferences, which I feel would be beneficial to a lot of users, and also help to improve the already great Affinity Photo software. My intention is to help make this software the best possible, so should any staff / developers like more detailed information regarding my ideas - please do not hesitate to contact me :) Thank you. 2. Hi Alfred :) Regarding number 1: I just thought it would be beneficial, as I made lots of brushes in photoshop that way. I appreciate that there are lots of parameters which could be changed, but it comes in handy to be able to create a shape on the canvas, and then save that as a default / basic brush head. The user could then change the parameters afterwards. Never noticed number 2 was already possible, as there is no indicator that the 2 palettes are connected (in Photoshop there is a blue line which appears). I see a blue bow when docking palettes above each other, but there is no indicator when docking side by side. Maybe the option to allow palettes to also be docked to the underside of the "Context Toolbar" at some stage in the future would be considered? This would allow palettes to be collapsed side by side at the top of the canvas - thus allowing more screen real estate, as the right side of the screen would then be available for the actual image to be displayed. Collapsing a palette to an icon would save more screen real estate, as opposed to collapsing to a flat strip (just my opinion) :) Thanks.
  3. Hi, I have only just joined this forum, as I'm now using Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer as my 2 main design applications :) Here are a few feature requests: 1) The ability to "Save as Brush", affording the ability to easily save a created shape as a brush. 2) The ability to dock palettes beside each other, as opposed to only above each other. 3) Export Selected Layer(s) to Files. 4) Collapsible palettes (shrink to icon). I apologise if any of these are already in place, as I have only briefly used both applications, but quite impressed so far! Keep up the good work.
