  1. hey, i m new to Affinity Designer an currently on the Beta version for windows 1.5.0.36, to test if it could be an alternative Adobe illustrator. So far i m really impressed by the Program, it s worklow and ease of use, but i ran into a major problem and am hoping for input from you Users an Devs. My main use of Vector drawing programs is refining/tweaking CAD drawings, mostly out of Rhinoceros (wich has an awsome make 2D function) an an hell lot of export file options. (but so far i haven t found one working for my case/with AFdesigner) So far i haven´t found a workflow to get my vectors from rhino to AFDesigner. the problem is that the layers need (it would be great) to be preserved or at least the paths shouldnt be automatically joined´, as it seems the case when i export/import as eps or svg. so far i found about the inconveniences of the PNG format: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/22756-faqs-a-statement-about-fireworks-layered-png-and-layered-tiff-files/ and found also a user with the same problem on the Rhino forum: https://discourse.mcneel.com/t/reading-exported-ai-files-in-vector-editors-other-than-illustrator/18092 (The user is also trying to open an *.ai file created in Rhino) Can you think about a workaround? Are there plans to implement a CAD format import to AFDesigner? maybe dwg/dxf? Or is this simply a windows beta issue?
