At the moment, the user drags from the well to sample the colour and, once a colour has been sampled, they can then click the well to apply the sampled colour.

If, on the other hand, as you suggest, the user clicked the well to activate the eyedropper functionality and then clicked somewhere else to sample the colour, rather than dragging from the well, how would the user then apply the sampled colour? (Clicking the well would already be ‘taken’ by the activation process.)

Are you saying that other people should not be able to use this part of the functionality simply because you have never used it?

I mean Affinity Photo should have option for disable this function for user who don't need it.

In my opinion... Click and hold the mouse button and drag. It's a very tiring and not good method. If you want to press and hold and tap on the color. Why not change the method to press and hold a key on the keyboard instead, for example hold down the Alt key and just click on the color you want. It's like the Photoshop method, much better.

There are at least two. It enables sampling from outside the application window. And within the application window, it enables sampling from the application UI, without causing unintended actions.

Edit: For a 3rd, it allows sampling from a different document in a Floated window, without switching to that document.

Maybe It should have disable this option. I have never dragged and hold it to absorb the color outside the application.

  3. Using Eyedropper tool in any color windows now using too many steps.

Why not just click on the color and click again to the color on the desired spot? But now you have to click and hold and drag to the desired point. For what?! Think about holding down and dragging it to the bottom left corner of your monitor screen. I use a mouse and my fingers get tired in this way.

Please remove it. Make it easy to use.
    Thank you.

Hi @Mark Ingram just want to make sure, is there another beta version than 1.6.5.119?

Just want to make sure I have the last beta and do more test work/projects with it.

Also...  Fonts loading is faster with beta 1.6.5.119 and it shut very fast too (impressive for a design software) , still I really request for improved font loading on finall/retail version.

    Blessings.

I try this beta version there are still not fix slow loading fonts on startup problem.

  5. It should improve text focus when finished typing

When I type something and enter on keyboard normally the cursor should keep focus on whatever last option.

For instance.... When you choosing a character and press enter, it should keep cursor focus on fonts list because maybe I need to change to other font I have to click on fonts list again!!

Also other option not only just fonts panel. it should keep focus cursor on it. Please test in Photoshop or other app and you will see.
