Is there a way to retain the cropping/sizing of a Slice in the exported EPS file? I don't want the EPS to be cropped to the contents. I want a border around the vector when I export it.
Currently, the file is being exported without any size beyond what the EPS contains. So what's the point of being able to adjust the size of a slice? I hope there's a way to do this that I missed.

If I have the Width field selected in the Transform panel and I hit the Tab key, it should jump from Width to Height which would my next logical change.
Currently, it jumps OVER to the Y coordinates field which makes no sense, except from a programming perspective (field to the right).
From a user perspective, if I change X, the next logical thing I would want to change is Y. NOT Width.
A small workflow improvement, please fix this!

No, I agree 100%. I actually looked there more than once before posting here. Options like this shouldn’t be hidden only on right-click. I actually wasn’t aware there was aright click menu for layers.
In addition: why is there ONLY ONE THING in that menu but like 10 things that only are available IF you know about right click?

Collapse everything is what I’m looking for, maybe you didn’t see that. Don’t Need to expand everything, I need to collapse everything at once to keep the layers clean and easy to work with.

Turning on multiple layers when you can drag/paint by clicking one checkbox and dragging up/down to turn on multiple layers is one thing I really miss from Photoshop/Illustrator. Any app that has layers should have this in my opinion.
Please add!

Is there a way to Collapse EVERYTHING inside a Group (subGroups, subsubGroups, etc) by clicking the arrow on the parent Group in the Layers panel?
In Photoshop, you can Option+LMB click it and everything collapses, so when you re-open the Group in the Layers panel it's all collapsed.
If this doesn't exist in any form, please consider this a feature request.

At the moment, I'm duplicating a LOT of layers and for the sake of alignment perfection, I'm keeping a layer that's only purpose to help with alignment while I duplicate. The problem is then removing this layer after all the duplicates are created. I named it 'DELETE' so I could easily go back and delete it after I'm done duplicating as it creates unnecessary overlaps.
What would be awesome in a future version is the ability to search within the Layers panel so I could manipulate (delete in this case). Photoshop has this functionality and it's awesome.
Please consider adding it soon!

Thanks dominik! It was selecting elements inside a group on the canvas that I was referring to. On my Mac, it's not CTRL, it's CMD + LMB + Drag to select within a Group.

is there a way to drag select children within a Group? Or do I have to Ungroup those items, then select, then re-group them?
If not, Illustrator's way of displaying the current hierarchy level makes sense for diving into a hierarchy and selecting items.
Currently, diving into a group, then attempting to select items jumps back to the top level.

No, that's awesome, thanks for your help MEB! My toolbar didn't have the single button for Align, but had a group of 6 buttons. I'm so used to graphics apps like this not following Apple toolbar norms that I never thought to check if the toolbar was customizable.
Glad to see Serif follows that convention!

I use this type of distribution constantly and I'm not sure why it's not in the top UI for aligning.
If not in the top UI, why isn't there just an Alignment panel? I shouldn't have to dig into some menu to find this.

Is there a way to save custom grids I've made to reuse on other artboards? Or do I have to recreate the grid every time in the Grid and Axis Manager?

I have a linear gradient that is getting rasterized and it only has two colours. Not good. How can I use this for print output? I can't send the printer a Affinity document! I tried the other formats and even EPS is rasterizing the gradient.

I would assume this would be part of the way symbols work in Affinity as a new user. That's too bad, I hope it gets added! It's really hard to tell sometimes as it's so easy to accidentally squish an object in Affinity and have no idea because the scaling doesn't consistently the exact same way depending on the object.

Is there anyway to see how much an object has been scaled down in Designer? For instance, I scale down an image, do some other things and come back to that image. Can I see that I've scaled it down to 50% of it's ORIGINAL value (at import) and scale it BACK to 100%?
This question also applies to squishing images or objects which often happens when you hold shift depending on whether it's grouped or not, it will squish images that I want to keep proportionally scaled. My above question applies to this also in that I would want to "fix" the squishing that sometimes occurs without realizing it until later.

Why is there no simple way (Command-J on Mac) to join two vertices from two separate paths? I'm not sure HOW to join them. This is incredibly simple in Illustrator to do.
Also a bit strange that Command-J would be assigned to Duplicate.

Please make a tool like the Touch Type tool in Illustrator. It allows per-character kerning and movement really easily.

Can you please add copy-pasting to/from Fontlab to Designer?
I can copy/paste from Illustrator, but Fontlab 6 is way better for creating fonts.
I can copy/paste from Illustrator to Fontlab and back again, and I can also do the same going between Designer and Illustrator, but it doesn't work between Fontlab and Designer. This is really unfortunate as I'd like to REPLACE Illustrator with Designer, but can't because of this workflow inhibitor.
