I added a no-opacity and a white-background preview to the first post. Take a look.

In Affinity Designer,
Adding a text object to a newly created document creates the text render on the left side.
Add a background (white or off-white, doesn't matter), and you get the text render on the right side.
Not sure if this is a bug or if it can be changed with a setting.

Letters with a round form should extend past the grid line (see 2.png for correct alignment). AD aligns the rounded forms to the baseline instead (3.png).

I guess you want to keep it like that, but could the ctrl + drag command be made less sensitive?
It runs the ctrl + drag command if you move the mouse 1px. Maybe change it to 5px before it runs that command.
If someone wants to make a 1px copy, maybe ctrl + arrow keys could be easier.

When you hold ctrl and select an object that's grouped together with another object, you select that object instead of the group. This is a great feature, and I use it a lot.
When you hold ctrl and drag, you copy and drag the selected object. This feature is also available when you hold alt + drag.
Is there a way to disable the ctrl + drag and only use alt + drag? Because I can't seem to stop making copies when I try to select a grouped object.

It would be great if we could import multiple (svg/eps/pdf/ai/png/jpg/gif/etc) files into the assets panel.
