  1. Hey guys, I think I've hit the wrong setting somewhere. (I've restarted AFD and my machine). Basically, now, when I pick a colour in the colour wheel, it applies stroke and the colour I selected to that stroke instead of changing the fill colour. When selecting any shape, I also can't adjust it's opacity or noise to the body, they're applied to the stoke also. I've hunted through the menu and tried to resolve this but I can't. Could someone tell me what setting I've changed so I can get back with my designs? This is driving me crazy! :P Thanks Nick
  2. Here are some screenshots. as you can see, the SVG width is 32.897, however when inspecting the export, it's 138. I've moved it to a fresh file, however it's exactly the same. Any suggestions?
  3. No, I have definitely selected selection without background. Let me create a new document and try to replicate.. if I can, I'll attach the AF file here for you to try.
  4. Worked like a charm thanks. Once more quick question, I have a primitive shape (width:32.897pt, height:32.897pt) however, after export they are 138 x 138 in width and height. Is this normal for AFD exporting?
  5. Hey guys, I've a really quick question. When exporting my SVG's, they're all given a width and height of 100%. And this is causing me huge issues with the program that's using the SVG's. Traditional SVG uses an actual width and height. AI currently has a flag option, 'responsive', however I cannot find one in AFD. Does anybody know how to export the SVG with non responsive width and height?
  6. Thanks, this got me where I needed to go in the end. I took your AD file and created a circle vector, then subtracted it from each segment. Thanks! I'm trying to upload some screenshots and the finished AD file incase anybody else has this issue, but I can't seem to upload any content in My Media.. this html post editor is weird o.O
  7. Okay, I constructed my shape using this method and it worked fine however I'm unable to segment each part off into it's own layer. When I use the Divide operation on the Curves layer, it just fills the centre hole. Though, I can see all 7 curve handles so it's constructed correctly I think. Any advice on how to proceed? Thanks!
  8. Hey guys, so I'm very new to affinity, and I've run into my first snag. I'm designing a rotation wheel that is cut up into 7 pieces. I am unable to do this as 360 / 7 = 51.428571. However in Affinity Designer, any non whole integer you enter just ends up getting rounded off. I'm using the Start Angle and End Angle input boxes when the pie chart is selected. Is there a way to turn off angle rounding in Affinity, or.. does anybody know a way around this and create the 7 pieces from scratch without using the pie tool accurately enough? Thanks Nick
