Well, if there's money in it for me, then I might! Glad you enjoyed them @digiart350. No great talent to do these, but it's all part of the learning of AD. Heck, I was well pleased to just get this silly box levitated this morning.! Lon "ain't Copperfield" in MacArkansas

Oh, you are definitely a hero! I've often found that what looks entirely impossible, turns out to be rather easy, once someone shows you the way. That's why video tutorials are so important. Thanks for showing me the way. I love that effect, and plan on learning how to do it. -

Love the lock. The shading on the bar is awesome! -
I'm still at the starting gate wtih AD, but this was a good learning experience. The perspective tool will be useful when it finally arrives.

Just outstanding, Kevin.

I was experimenting with the Low Polygons, but got carried away with how I might apply it to a logo, also. Just for fun.... Lon "out in the sun too long" in MacArkansas

Oh my! How cool is that? Nice! -
I would say that your "someday" is here. These are quite good and fun, and if you are not already writing a children's book, then you should be...or teamed up with a writer who's just itching to find a good illustrator. Thanks for sharing these, and let us know when that book gets published.

But for "noobs" like me, trodding along in your footsteps, this was a valuable tidbit of information. I also bought the Designer workbook, and am looking forward to reaching the projects (perhaps specifically the panther) where a sketch is used to guide the finished drawing. I'm very much into steam locomotives, and already gathered a couple of (don't laugh) "simple-ish" looking drawings that I hope to eventually use as the basis for an engine rendering.

Arun, my friend. How nice to hear from you. I have asked on Mick's forum about you. Glad you are aboard here, also. As I recall, you had a real...er....affinity for drawing. Lon "the old gang returns" in MacArkansas

When will the TonyJ tool be added to the UI? I'll need that tool to merely paint these results, because there's no way I'll ever develop this level of skill. -
Like that a lot. Have to come back and look at this more closely, and come up with somethng similar, as I work on http://www.dimestorenovels.com/

Simply amazing! -
I don't plan to abandon DPX8, however. There are some very good tools in it...auto-trace being among them, and perspective settings. I've been able to achieve some interesting and useful results in the past. Cutout Studio (which is in the other Serif apps, of course) is probably the tool I use more often than any. Different tools for different projects. But, for some reason, the drawing part of it seems to just come more naturally in AD, than it did for me in DP. The many videos have been very helpful. But, perhaps as I mentioned above, the student was simply more ready. In any event, I've had about as much fun today, as I did when CraftArtist was released. And, with a couple of new websites to do now, I plan to make good use of AD.
-
You...er...node I didn't mean that! Too much good stuff in AD, for certain. Besides, I have the workbook now. So, I'm committed (...or should be) ...although I went back to DPX8, and I certainly was doing something in error. I can see now that I probably just selected something incorrectly, and got results that were not to my liking.
-
STOP!! You'll make me decide not to purchase AD. ...just need vanishing point perspective, and AD would feel like the perfect app.
-
Well, I'm sure that I tried it in DP, even recently...after seeing the possibility in the AD video, and I don't recall that I could make that happen. Operator error, no doubt...perhaps pulling on the incorrect node. Was able to multi-select and drag the group of nodes on the first try in AD.
-
A killer ability in AD, is to be able to multi-select the nodes, and deform them as a group. That is almost always where DP and I parted ways. It was most frustrating. But, when I saw this feature in the videos, that pretty much sealed the deal.
-
I know this must have been easy enough to do in DrawPlus, but I could just never quite get the hang of it. It just seems easier and more natural in AD. But, perhaps when the student is ready...the teacher arrives!

There is a small service charge for appropriating my signature style! ...as coincidence would have it, I just got off the phone with a Rotary representative right in the heart of what was once, long ago, the Orange growing capital of Southern California. Perhaps he will become my first vict...er...client, who gets benefit of some of Designer's more astounding capabilities. There's a certain...er..a_peel to doing some art work for them that has that vintage look to it.

I've long been a fan of orange crate art, and hope to be able to create something like this at some point. It's really this flat-color look that got me inspired this morning.
