I just wanted to share a list of Free for Commercial Use Fonts. This is a curated[*] list of some of the best freely available Fonts out there. The criteria I had in order to come up with this list:
They have to be either Free or Open Source Fonts. They can be used in commercial projects (some restrictions may vary from Font to Font, so be sure to read first). I made my best to ensure this point, but I could be wrong and I'd be more that happy if you let me know if I made a mistake. No attribution required. In some cases (Serif and Sans Serif), they have to have more than two weights (at least one italic included). Support for Spanish characters like Á, Ü, ¿¡!?, Ññ (since I speak Spanish, this was mandatory, but there are many more good Fonts that don't cover this criteria). [*] I have basic knowledge about typography, but I have read reviews from well educated people in order to ensure quality.
 
Well, here it is the list. As you can see, they are grouped by classification, and a general one in that regard. Some of the Serif and Sans Serif fonts were included in "Headlines" because they had one weight or they had no italics/oblique.

First of all, thanks for the new actual preview. Now, just a few things that could be improved in the near future for the Export Preview, without being a complete overhaul of the feature as a whole:
Keep the zoom percentage when switching between formtas (from PNG to JPEG, for example, the zoom is reset). Edit: I see that it expands to the size of the Window, that's not bad, but the first time you open it, if the image is small, it will start at 486%. It'd be nice if it's expanded as well from the beginning. Allow for "faster" zooming. It's tiring to give the mouse a lot o turns compared to the canvas view of the main application Allow Ctrl + 0 and other commands to resent the size or go directly to 100%. Edit: I'm good with the current options, but maybe allowing more thant 800% would be nice. Allow entering zoom values directly Best regards!
 
Bonus Track: for future versions, what about allowing a panel for export preview in the application? That way, we'd avoid waiting for the Export part to have a preview, the same way you allow the pixel preview... just saying.

Thanks for this suggestion. We are considering other uses, but this would require you "storing/uploading" those files to a secure personal location, so there is lots to consider before offering that sort of feature.

The lock down has an important impact on some people....  talk to your doctor about it micornelius. I wish you get your life back some day.

When much of the world went into lockdown last year we put a few things in place to try to offer some support to the creative community. In the big scheme of things they were fairly small gestures I guess, but we were quite overwhelmed by the positive feedback we received about it.
In particular the 90-day trial of all our apps provided a big help for people who may have lost access to their normal tools through their work or university, and offering a deep 50% discount on our apps was also greatly appreciated.
We reverted back to our normal trial length and pricing as those initial restrictions eased and the situation felt like it was improving. However here in the UK we are back in full national lockdown and in many countries restrictions are tight and livelihoods continue being severely affected as we deal with the second wave of this virus. For that reason, we have decided to re-introduce both our 90-day trial and 50% discount on all our apps and digital content (unfortunately the relatively small margins we have on workbooks means we cannot offer the discount on those). We have also reset the 90-day trial so anyone who took advantage of it before can do so again.
The thoughts of all of us at Serif remain with everyone affected by this crisis and we wish you all the best.

Hi there!
I just wanted to share a list of Free for Commercial Use Fonts. This is a curated[*] list of some of the best freely available Fonts out there. The criteria I had in order to come up with this list:
They have to be either Free or Open Source Fonts. They can be used in commercial projects (some restrictions may vary from Font to Font, so be sure to read first). I made my best to ensure this point, but I could be wrong and I'd be more that happy if you let me know if I made a mistake. No attribution required. In some cases (Serif and Sans Serif), they have to have more than two weights (at least one italic included). Support for Spanish characters like Á, Ü, ¿¡!?, Ññ (since I speak Spanish, this was mandatory, but there are many more good Fonts that don't cover this criteria). [*] I have basic knowledge about typography, but I have read reviews from well educated people in order to ensure quality.
 
Well, here it is the list. As you can see, they are grouped by classification, and a general one in that regard. Some of the Serif and Sans Serif fonts were included in "Headlines" because they had one weight or they had no italics/oblique.

You have to convert it to curves. I tried this also with our cats at home, but this gave me bad results.
 

I agree. I'm sure this will come. But InDesign still hasn't got this feature or anything similar after over 20 years development. I sometimes think software developers don't live in the real world. Meanwhile as a workaround you could create different breeds and save them as cat assets.

I just wanted to share a list of Free for Commercial Use Fonts. This is a curated[*] list of some of the best freely available Fonts out there. The criteria I had in order to come up with this list:
They have to be either Free or Open Source Fonts. They can be used in commercial projects (some restrictions may vary from Font to Font, so be sure to read first). I made my best to ensure this point, but I could be wrong and I'd be more that happy if you let me know if I made a mistake. No attribution required. In some cases (Serif and Sans Serif), they have to have more than two weights (at least one italic included). Support for Spanish characters like Á, Ü, ¿¡!?, Ññ (since I speak Spanish, this was mandatory, but there are many more good Fonts that don't cover this criteria). [*] I have basic knowledge about typography, but I have read reviews from well educated people in order to ensure quality.
 
Well, here it is the list. As you can see, they are grouped by classification, and a general one in that regard. Some of the Serif and Sans Serif fonts were included in "Headlines" because they had one weight or they had no italics/oblique.

Hi, there!
Hope you guys are doing great.
Well, long time ago I became a fan of the Oxygen Icon Pack, made for the KDE 4.0 Desktop. Sadly, it's no longer in use by the KDE Team, but its style is still one of my favorites.
Now, according to this:
Anyone may, and is encouraged to, use Oxygen Icons in their applications, websites and physical artwork. Modification is also allowed. The only restriction is that you can not restrict what others then do with the artwork.
The icons are under the GNU Lesser General Public License
You can use them as long as you give credit and point to the KDE Website. Also, if icons have been modified, you should also provide a link so that they can be downloaded, making it clear they are under the LGPLv3.
So, what I did was to open all the Icons and saved them in AFDESIGN format (the icons were downloaded originally in SVG and SVGZ formats, Inkscape helped a lot), and I uploaded them here. (I also plan on including the SVG file exported from Designer, but I had trouble with some of the icons that's why I keep them in AFDESIGN).

There should be a drop-down in the context toolbar for the cat tool to select a breed, too.

Just wondering why the cat tool has no nodes. I can live without bleed lines and tables that don't change size when columns are deleted but a cat whose tail doesn't move is not a real cat. Hopefully this will be sorted in the next Beta.
