  1. Another option, Photopea, an online Image editor, and this one is for free.

    • First, create a new document and write your text:

    • Then, warp it the way you want it to be and create a copy of it.

    • Right click on any of the Texts, in the Layers Panel, and click on "Convert to Shape"

    • Save it as PSD to your Computer:

    • You can open the file in Photo/Designer... but here is the thing, you have the text Curves and Pixels. Right now, text in a PSD file generated by Photopea opens as a Bitmap object, but if you open it again in Photopea, it's still recognized as editable Text.

Hope this is of use for anyone.

    Best regards!

    Hi ThinkArgent.com,

    Welcome to Affinity Forums.

This is already on Designer's roadmap (which covers all new features until version 2.0) so it will come with one of the next updates. I'm referring to mesh warp distortions not to something similar to Warp Effects in Illustrator just to be clear. There's no eta for any specific feature (it depends on the development goes) so i can't add much more details at this point.

So, MEB, when we look at the feature on the Roadmap for Designer, the Developers mean something like this:

    But not something like this:

    Is that right?

    Best regards!

@Mithferion, It looks like you're not using the current version. Maybe it's different in the 157 ...

I found this glitch in the previous version, but I decided to update to check if it was still present. I can confirm that this is the 157 version.

It seems odd to me that you have two Snapping icons on the Toolbar, @Mithferion:

Yeah, it's odd. I didn't even noticed them until you pointed it out. However, if I take away the icon to the right, it can't be brought back.

  4. Hi there!

I noticed something when working with the Pen Tool and the Grids.

    • When I open Publisher, show the Grid and Select the Pen Tool, it won't snap to the Grid.

    Publisher01.png.309e1ef31604650ae1e6fe0dfa30c26e.png

    • However, it will snap to the Center of the Page.

    • Only after I Zomm In, Zoom Out, Minimize/Restore/Maximize the Window, or start drawing lines with the Pen Tool it will snap to the Grid.

It's not something critical but it's something that work nicely in the current retail version of Photo and Designer.

And just in case it's useful, here are the settings I use, for snapping and for the Pen Tool.

You didn't use the drop shadow for that, right? You used a blur/size/color overlay?

Also, how did you make the AD layout look like this? :)

Sorry for the delay, but I see the nice folks on the forum helped with you question. Indeed that's what I did: two rectangles, and the smaller one with the Outer Shadow Effect.

As per your second question, basically:

    • Monochromatic Icons

    • Hide the toolbar

    image.png.1859bcf23f45dd057860cfe72eb1a666.png

    • I set the Tools to two Columns (View > Customize Tools...):

Hi guys. THANK YOU for all the feedback.

So knowing PNG can't convert to CMYK is useful. I am still having a problem however. When converting the document from RGB to CMYK and then exporting a CMYK jpeg file - I open that jpeg file and the blacks are still showing a blend rather than a 100% k value. So this is not giving a true black for printing. How do I fix or export it correctly so that the true blacks are exporting with 100% K value for CMYK? How do I also know this is happening when exporting as an EPS and PDF file?

    Thanks for the help.

For a Rick Black, go this way:

    C: 72

    M: 68

    Y: 67

    K: 88

    Best regards!

By the way, see the attached images. Both were exported from the same file, one with RGB profile and the other with CMKY profile.
