Thanks! It didn't occur to me to try that.
Also, maybe more people would expect the vertical line to appear, what about making it the default?
Now, the petition to reset the center of the line would be valid.
Added another one in the OP, locking the line's position and orientation.
Best regards!

Hi there!
So far, I'm pleased and impressed with the idea of the Construction Items (the three points circle is beautiful), but if I may ask for two thing, it'd be:
- Ability to rescale Construction Items. If I change the Document size, it'd be great to rescale the Construction Items as well.
- Ability to resize Construction Circles individually. Because maybe I didn't create it the right way or I want to adjust it.
Also, I know you can delete Construction Items, but so far I wasn't able to do so. The status bar says Click + RightMouse to delete point, and I suppose that means clicking with both buttons of the mouse at the same time...

So far, it works great (a bit of a slowdown with all 32 divisions and big canvas and brushes, but that's just me being exaggerated).
Just a few thinks to ask.
- Option to rotate the line when there is one division. For example, 90° to have a vertical line.
- Reset the center of the Division. So far, if I move it, there is no way to put it back in the center other way than by eye.
- Allow rotation of the Division Lines only with a modifier Key. I've seen myself rotating it by accident while painting.
Angry because I rotated it...

I see. Thanks for the explanation. As you say, it's not a major problem and I entered my information in the window.
Best regards!

Well, that didn't work.

Not all localisations are in yet, so some things may still appear in English only.
@Mithferion, do you have Affinity Designer installed from the Microsoft Store?
Nope, I installed it from the Affinity Store. But now that I looked into the installation path, I see this:

The "Affinity Designer" folder should be where the Desiger files are located. Instead, the "Designer" folder is where they are located. Maybe I did something wrong the last time I updated the retail version, but it's weird since I always install in the default path.
I will try and reinstall the retail version.

Seems like it's not present in the Windows Beta.

I see. For this, I avoid to anything else like givinf the License Key, to see if the Developers asks for any information.
Best regards!
P. D.: Love the new Splash Screen.

Hi there!
Donwloaded and installed the Beta for Photo, without issues. I just notice that some icons are missing when you try to custom the Tools:
- Clarity Tool
- Noise Reduction Tool
- Shadows / Highlights Tool
Also, as you can see, and maybe because of the missing Icons, the panel for draggin Tools is really wide.

Hi there!
I installed the Beta for Designer and after the Splash Screen shows up, I'm prompted with this window, asking for the Valid Key Product:

This doesn't happen with Affinity Photo. Both programs are installed from the Affinity Store.

Perhaps it's just my view of things, but to me "startup" is from the time I click the icon to start the program, until it is usable for me. How long it takes after that for the CPU usage to go down is not relevant. I can be opening files and working on them as soon as the full display is there
True that. It's just something else I take into account to see how the Application behaves. And that depends on the Hardware you have; you can see that with the Laptop Core i7 it goes really fast even if you consider my way of testing.

The latest beta shows the same thing. If you toggle between the sizes of the thumbnails, it looks fine:

Now I see that @StuartRc and I have the same CPU. Could that be it...?

On Windows 10 (specs of the system in my signature), there is a point in the startup where the splash screen looks like this, with the black square behind it:

In this system, the total startup time is 1:10 (00:21 mark for the App to show and 01:10 until the CPU usage goes down) . Not a big improvement as with the ThinkPad (I gues it's the CPU or something, but it's OK).

I know, it's not convenient for those who need a solution right now.

And what is that magical number if I may ask?
I’m looking forward to a DAM from Serif as well...
2020. Which month? That wasn't mentioned

Minimal Splash Screen... I like it.
Also, greatly improved startup time. The thing on Windows that's still there is the CPU usage after the App windows has finally showed, but that time has also been reduced.
On a Windows 8.1 system[*], it took 25 seconds total, until the CPU usage reduced.
Best regards!

And I believe that's how the older members of the forum can help newcomers: giving the information thay have, based on Staff member's claims.
The other way around is more Developers writing answers here than writing code (MEB is not a developer, as far as I know, but he does his best to answer these threads).
Best regards!
