  1. It's good because it's good. It'd be better if they've done this before, but still, I don't see any harm. Best regards!
  2. Hi, Ash. As promised yesterday, I will share if this sounds good to me, and it sounds OK. Here is why: Pledge 1: The perpetual Licensing model is what attracted people in the first place, but I feel like if some kind of subscription appears, it will be seen as a Red Flag if offered from you. If Canva is the one adding the Affinity Suite with their current Pricing Plans, well, that'd be seen like an addition. Still, I've read some comments that the Canva Team has changed pricing policies and this will still keep us watching closely. Pledge 2: Keeping Affinity as it is also key: installed locally with no need of being connected to the Internet (except when activating the Product). Now, regarding the development and the speed in which new versions are delivered: we will see if more money brings that but I'm not sure that we'll see Features coming twice as fast or double of them in the same period of 3 moths (roughly) when new releases come out, as an example. Pledge 3: I like this one. Hope it works great Pledge 4: This is a complex one, because as you know, people have been really vocal about demanding Features in the forums, so there are features (as the one you mention on Pledge 2) that you are aware that people want for yesterday. I will take y time to fill the form you provided as well. We'll see if these pledges even last in the coming years. Best regards!
  3. Ah, yes, and I've used professional Software that I liked at the first try. Best regards!
  4. I'll let you know if that sounds good to me. How it turns out in the end will be another converation. Best regards!
  5. Tried it once. Didn't like it. Best regards!
  6. To me, that's a given. FreeHand will come to many's mind. Best regards!
  7. I can tell you the story of that time a taxi hit me -when I was 11 years old- and you'll see I sound way more enthusiastic than this. Best regards!
  8. Hi, Ash. That's yet to be seen. The only surprises that I like are for birthday parties. And that's because we've seen this story time and time again. I'm truly thankful for all you've done since the first Beta of Affinity Designer up until yesterday, but I'm afraid we'll come back to this conversation down the road and talk about the new surprises we'll see. Bes regards!
  9. Wish you the best, thanks a lot for what you've done in the past 10 years. I'll go back to sleep some more. Best regards!
  10. No matter the answers we receive now, time will make the final statement. Best regards!
  11. I can say I am not happy with this. Best regards!
  12. And here it is. Some new Fonts added to the list: HEADLINES - Wanted Sans (Std) - It contains 2 versions, one with support for Korean language and the Std version, which contains the latin characters support. It has support for single story and double story "a". HEADLINES - ZT Formom SANS SERIF - Reddit Sans - A Sans Serif with a mix of Geometric and Humanist forms. Mostly Geometric. Contains three styles, described as Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry and Fudge, with variations for some of the characters. Best regards!
  13. Thanks! Well, this is something I started doing in 2017 and I still update the Topic once in a while (shortly I will do so, by the way). I'm glad this is of use. Best regards!
  14. Hi! Fonts that are being published under the SIL Open Font License can be considered the "safest", meaning that you can create Documents, Logos, Images or Videos with them with no worries at all, which are the main things you could create as a designer. But other free Fonts can include such terms and rights so that's why they can be just as safe to use. For example, I can consider that Ilisarniq's License is safe to use for Design purposes (see the EULA section). But still, Fonts that are not freely available under the SIL Open Font License could include some kind of limitations, it's best to take a look at what they allow you to do. Hope that helps. Best regards!
  15. Installed without any issue on Windows 10 (MSIX). Same for Photo and Publisher. Best regards!
  16. Hi there! I was remembering this Feature request where there is a video demo of the required functionality, and while I still think this would be a great addition I asked myself: could this possibly be done right now? And it can, sort of. See video below: Pseudo-ArcTool-Demo.mp4 As you can see, after you set the Donut Tool, you can switch between it and the Point Transform Tool to create the curves. The bad: You need to switch constantly between Tools There is no snapping to any intersecting line You have to delete segments to have a single line in the curved line BUT I think the good news is that: It can be done It's fun I hope this encourages the Devs to spend some time in it given that it doesn't seem to be that far away Best regards!
  17. Hi! Some Typefaces get updated over time and expanded as well. That's the case for the Ubuntu Typeface and it's presented as Ubuntu Sans. It now has 16 styles for the normal width and 16 for the Condensed version. It's available in the GutHub repo: Direct download link: https://github.com/canonical/Ubuntu-Sans-fonts/releases/tag/v1.004 Very good news for those who use it and love it. Best regards!
  18. In a way, it'd be similar to the Isometric Panel where you perform actions but I get your point that that's the case for the most part. Best regards!
  19. I'd think that it begins the moment when you have your selection and you make your first move. I know it's not perfect but other than what options do we have? I myself am not fan of floating windows. Best regards!
  20. Ah, that's true. Didn't think of that. I'd think that an option called "restore" in the hypotetical Panel would suffice but I'm guessing you wouldn't be a fan of that. Best regards!
  21. Maybe there is something that I'm missing but when using the Alignment Panel, it does make the changes live and it leaves them there. Any chance you can upload a video showing how you use it? Best regards!
  22. Good point. In Inkscape, there is no need for those buttons, so there shouldn't be there if they create a dedicated Panel: Best regards!
  23. I believe this has been requested before: In the case of the Desktop version, having a Panel dedicated for this alignment actions would be better than the current Dropdown option. Still, nice additions. Best regards!
