  1. Do a search for 'underwater' and you get several threads offering advice. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&q=underwater&quick=1 John
  2. Rrŕ Hello @enlarging image, and welcome to the forums. You say your image is 20cm by 20cm, but how many pixels is that? What kind of an image is it? Photographic or diagram? What enlarging algorithm did you use? John
  3. You actually need to use a macro such as those I have provided for resizing to a fixed maximum size and to set the dpi. Run the dpi macro first, then the resize macro. The included macros do work for your target breadth/width and dpi. Note that I say that I have recorded these in Affinity Photo 1.6. There is a bug in later versions which means that the resampling does not work in the resizing macros. John
  4. A macro should do what you want. When you use the resize dialogue, you do need to ensure that the Resample box is ticked. Macros cannot export images, but a combination of a batch job and a macro should do what you want. John
  5. I have Photo as the default program to open .tiff files. When VueScan saves a scanned image (as tiff), it automatically opens it in Photo. Simplifies the workflow. John
  6. Look at Dave Straker's 'notes' for V1. This will covera most of what is found in V2. John
  7. I think that @mthorneris saying the same thing as @imagodespira : some V1 files cannot be opened in V2. @walt.farrell's reply addresses he problem that V2 files cannot be opened in V1. John
  8. You could run your developed files through a batch process incorporating my Change DPI Macro. Note that there are problems recording such macros in versions later than 1.6. These macros were recorded in 1.6 but work in later versions, including V2. John
  9. Hello @Antonio Macias, and welcome to the forum. You need to use the Document > Resize Document and choose the appropriate algorithm. See the Affinity Help File here: https://affinity.help/photo/en-US.lproj/index.html?page=pages/SizeTransform/imageSize.html?title=Changing image size John
  10. Hello @sammybeeand welcome to the forums. The choice of file type now appears in a drop-down list right at the top of the Export dialogue. John
  11. Hello @LauraL, and welcome to the forums. The price you are given in New Taiwan dollars corresponds to £36.45 Sterling. Where do you live? The price quoted would be OK if you lived in Taiwan. John
  12. As it says in the old, old adage "When in doubt, read the instructions." John
  13. By default the msix files are downloaded to your Downloads folder. This should appear near the top of the list in your File Explorer window. John
  14. Hello @Rodger8, and welcome to the forums. This particular forum is for posting Tutorials for others to use. You should post requests in the Afinity on Desktop Questions forum. A moderator will probably move your post for you. John
  15. Hello @philip g thompson, and welcome to the forum. If you are on Windows (you don't say), then enter Publisher 2 in the box at the bottom left. There are other ways, but you need to specify your platform or Operating System. John
  16. Is this a question about Affinity software? It seems to me to be an operating system problem. John
  17. @Mildred, What is "CA"? This is the forum for Affinity products, Photo, Designer and Publisher. John
  18. You could try the Threshold Adjustment. Choose a threshold that will separate your dark grey from the lighter greys of the background. There is no guarantee that this will work, but if it does, it is probably be more efficient than other methods. John
  19. Bear in mind that if our you use Paste in a macro, then it pastes the image that was copied when you recorded the macro. Fine if you are watermarking a batch of images, but not usually what you want. John
  20. I support this. My scanner software (VueScan) saves an image as a .tif file, then automatically opens Affinity Photo which loads it. On saving, Photo saves the image as a .tiff file. Thus I have two copies of the image. I then have to remember which is the image as scanned and which is the edited file. Not so simple at my age, John
