  1. Unfortunately the market for the Mac-coffee-shop-squatter-social-media-influencer is larger than the game industry. Intel has Texture Works Photoshop plugin for this, can't Affinity get this to work? https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/articles/tool/intel-texture-works-plugin.html
  2. +1 This is the only reason I haven't upgraded to V2. While your at it, make it so only one ocio node is needed to bake down the color transform....and the current implementation in V1 is a little buggy. When applying ocio nodes to large 32 bit EXRs it causes Photo to crash about 20% of the time. And no DDS support?
  3. to convert a 32 bit linear acescg to 8 bit with the view transform "baked" you need two ocio nodes: Open the exr Go to 32-bit Preview Check Display transform is set to OCIO Display Transform, Exposure = 0, Gamma = 1 (this is just a display transform that matches render view) create two nodes: Add OCIO Adjustment: Source: ACES - ACEScg; Destination: Output - sRGB Add OCIO Adjustment: Source: Utility - Curve -sRGB; Destination: ACES - ACES 2065-1 Set the display transform in 32 bit preview to 'ICC Display Transform' - this is what the image will look like when you convert it to 8bit and should match the render view convert format to rgb/8 -> Document -> Convert Format/ICC profile -> RGB/8 from drop down. credit to this post: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/129188-cant-export-aces-12-ocio-what-i-see-in-32-bit-preview/&do=findComment&comment=729666
  4. First, thanks for adding TGA support! I would pay for this software again if these three things were implemented: 1. DDS support. Intel texture works plugin: https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/intel-texture-works-plugin.html 2. Cryptomatte support. https://github.com/Psyop/Cryptomatte 3. different RGBA channel workflow. This thread: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/109734-feature-request-alpha-channels-again/ Thanks!
  5. I fully support this. Having a node editor with some of the same hot keys/controls as Maya and Nuke would really set this app apart from CC.
  6. Very slow. The 8k4k hdr in photoshop took 3 seconds, the same image in affinity took 7 seconds! I'm running 32 gig ram with an i7 4930(overclocked to 4.0 ghz) in windows 7 64.
  7. This is a plugin for photoshop that is useful in game production environments that is not supported with Affinity Photo. (https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop) Support for this plugin or a dds file export with dxtc compression would be great! From the webpage: The Nvidia DDS plugin supports the DXTC texture compression format and allows you to open and save .dds files in RGB format. It reads and writes .dds files in compressed or uncompressed forms, provides support for per-MIP color fading. Thanks!
