Unless its a major release (which I'm sure we would have heard about) I doubt it - Development of Designer seems to have slowed down ....

Agree, if we get free transform, perspective and warp tools then we'd drop Adobe in an instant

this sucks - I was very dissapointed - I have no real need for publisher at all, but purchased it to get what I thought was a full designer and photo integrated expereience.

Yes, until there's a non destructive free transform, perspective tool no pont in switching from the good old Adobe Fireworks. With free transform and also warp tools there's a very good argument to compoletelt ditch Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Firweworks

All these 'solutions' are workarounds - can the Affinity Designer devs please just look at Adobe Fireworks, these may seem like trivial thiings buts its so infuriating when these little things are made difficult. I've been playing aorund with Affinity Designer and aa long time user of Fireworks the lack of some simple functions to crop and resize canvas is frustrating.
    In Fireworks:
edit > crop document (crops document to current selection)
modify > canvas > trim canvas (trims canvas to all objects
modify > canvas > fit canvas (fits canvas to all objects - used when objects are outside te bounds of the canvas)
I can see in Photo there is an option document > clip canvas

    Ok I've got it
    In Publisher
    1) draw a rectangle
    2) convert to curves
    3) select node tool
    4) hold down shift to select two diagonally opposite points
    5) select one of the points and drag to get this effect
Can't wait to try designer and photo with publisher to see how well they are integrated...

+1 for this - the export persona looks so good until you realise there's no live preview which in effect cripples it.

This is a glaring omission in a vector based tool. Any ideas when 1.7 will be released and will it deffo include this?
In Fireworks you can select the skew tool and drag one of the bottom corners of a square outwards for example to achieve this affect, it is quite a common task:

Yes I know about the shear tool - the lack of a simple perspective tool in Designer like the one in Photoshop is a problem - In Adobe Fireworks its called the 'skew' tool and it combines both shear and perspective functionality. Its a frequently used tool and it should be in Designer, hopefully it won't be too long before its added ...

I personally think this would be a great idea - Figma is getting a lot of attention and some kind of collaberation between Affinity and Figma or the abiltiy to import designer files into figma and retain as much editability as possible would be brilliant. Also I think both Figma and Affinity would benefit.

Unfortuntelay there seems to be a culture on these forums of making silly comments and general rudeness to a simple question or feature request - so if people insist on posting sarcastic replies with rude undertones then I will reply in the same manner ... I have experienced many time rudness  and an ''attitude' on these forums, so the idea you are all polite on here is a nonsense .... I'll leave you to your little clique, it seems you have a very blinkered  opinion

+1 to be able to double click the page name in the pages panel and enter custom page name would be good - like you can do in Adobe Fireworks.

No, the machine has to serve the human, not the other way ’round. The software/UI has to do what the users want and if the users want a crop tool, give it to them! Especially since a “crop/trim canvas” function would be a tremendous time saver as opposed to going into document setup.

For example: I have three small objects on a large canvas (no artboard) and I want to export these three objects as one image — crop/trim canvas (better yet with a shortcut) and hitting Ctrl/Cmd-X would be a thousand times faster than selecting all objects to look at the transform panel and find out the dimensions, then unselecting them, going into document options, entering the dimensions, setting the scaling behavior, and then exporting the image. Likewise, using the export persona for such a simple operation is overkill because you still have to perform multiple steps just for a quick export.

The workflow problem is currently prevalent. That you can’t imagine the use of a cropping function doesn’t mean that everybody else is at fault.

    Hello,
Forgive me if any of these are already in Designer, is it possible or are there plans to add:
    1) Full screen presentation mode for presenting mockups to clients
    2) Pages - I know we have artboards - but we're old school and still like pages :)
    3) Add hyperlinks  so when in presentation mode we can use basic linking to click between different pages or artboards.

MCFC_4Heatons got a reaction from Rick G in Very Dissapointed - StudioLink Lacks Full Features of Designer & Photo
How would that work? You need registered versions of Photo and Designer for the the Design & Photo personas to work inside Publisher.  We already had licensed copies of Photo and Designer, we bought Publisher purely for bringing the features of Photo and Designer into one single app. Unfortunately we were wrongly under the impression all features of Designer & Photo would be integrated which is not the case .....
Your profile says you're an advanced member ???
Some of the so-called advanced members on here seem to be leading a culture of attacking people on the forums  who dare critise any aspect of Affinity software.  Questioning how and why is how we improve things.

As a fully paid up  owner of licensed copies of Publisher, Photo & Designer I am  entitled to give my opinion - IF YOU DON NOT LIKE MY OPINION THEN THAT IS JUST TOUGH!!!
I'd say the only person here with a BIG PROBLEM is YOU - as you seemed to be FOLLOWING ME around the forums like a TROLL
Might I suggest YOU NEED TO GET A LIFE!!!
Won' be back here to reply again I have BETTER THINGS TO DO than WASTE MY BREATH ON YOU - YOU ARE INSIGNIFICANT TO ME but I seem to be IN YOUR HEAD - YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!!!
