If you apply a warp effect to an element then apply a layer effect afterwards the layer effect is notapplied correctly. THe lame workaround is to always remember to apply the layer effect first which not good or always possible.

It is clear Designer is low doen on priorities now, you can the developement of the PHoto app and the iPad app vs slow progress with Designer

I'm on windows 11 - I can't drag icons from start meu to desktop and Shell:AppsFolder command does nothing either .... Go figure, this is an issue I have never had before with any app!!

I think your points are fair, the frustration is waiting, so, so long for features in Designer and then still not getting a simple Perspective tool with snapping and constraints. I know there are some ways around some of these things, but it is frustrating that some of the staple requirements are still missing

I honestly think Designer is low down on their priorities.... I would think that Photo on all platforms is a much bigger seller as it covers a wider range of users from professionals to photographers and hobbyists (I guess)

I installed v2 on Windows 11 - no idea where apps are installed - if I go to task manager while Affinity apps are running and right click 'open file location' is greyed out. I don't like these MSIX installers, nothing but trouble....

There's still no basic perspective/skew tool... I don't think Affinity are serious about Designer anymore. I just want to be able to do simple symmetrical perspective and skew without all the faff involved in the new feature. Even Adobe Fireworks has it & Adobe stopped updating that nearly ten years ago!!...

I have the same problem v2 of all three apps on Windows, yes I have already launched Photo and Designer at least once...

I purchased and download all v2 apps for Windows... They seem to be Portable and Studio Link seems to be an issue, I am assuming it is looking for Photo and Designer in specific locations? I have activated all three apps but cannot switch to design or photo persona. It says Photo and Designer are not installed> Any tips?

I see v2 has warp tool, not tried it yet, but I don't see any mention of a non destructive perspective/skew tool ?

There was a conspiracy theory doing the rounds, that Adobe will buy Affinity, and that is why there is no news available on v2. Adobe likes to buy competitors out and then bury the software to eliminate competition.

If you are talking about the perspective tool, it is OK but you can only export to bitmap format

This has been years with NO communication from Affinity. IF and when v2 ever turns up, who knows if they'll do anything with Designer, it seems to be at the bottom of their priorities. The lack of communication is very strange & it will be Affinity's downfall! I don't like to believe the conspiracy theorists but it does seem very odd!

I would be more than happy to pay a generous upgrade price for v2 Designer if it had some of the key features currently missing; free transform, warp, perspective tools. Yes I know Photo has perspective tool but it rasterizes and it is no good for people wanting to export to vector formats.

any update on some new non-destrictive free transform, distrot, warp tools for Designer? Even a basic perspective tool that doesn;t rasterise the object would be helpful?

Why are 3rd party plug-ins greyed out sometimes? Seem if I just open a JPG 3rd party plug-ins are available but if for example I create new blank document then place an image or select a shape or text the 3rd party plug-ins are available in the menu but greyed out....
