  1. Hi, One of the feature that is holding me back to switch our studios (CG-studio) pipeline to Affinity Photo is the lack of the equivalent of Smart Objects from a well know competitor. The alternative for our pipeline could be that the EXR file format is added to the list of supported RAW files. In this way our EXR renders can be developed in Develop Persona as an embedded layer. And can be replaced easily with an updated version of it without loosing the Develop Persona settings. Currently EXRs are pixel layers when opened in Affinity Photo. In Develop Persona it is not possible to develop an EXR (pixel) layer as an embedded layer. Nor can an EXR embed layer (via Place) be opened and developed in Develop Persona. So Devs what do you think?
  2. Please add EXR file format. So EXRs can be developed in Develop Persona and saved as embedded layers. There is no other way as far as I know to have EXRs as embedded layers. This would be of great help for my workflow. More info
  3. Unfortunately this does not apply on EXR files (32bit)(CGI renders). This will become a pixel layer when you open an EXR AFAIK. In Develop Persona it is not possible to develop an EXR (pixel) layer as an embedded layer. Nor can an EXR embed layer (via Place) be opened and developed in Develop Persona.
  4. The Raw layer Embedded option in Develop Persona is great. The macro solution for copying the Develop Persona settings is good, but it would be great if once developed , a simple right click on the layer (in Photo Persona) would copy the settings and then paste the same settings on a different layer in the same .aphoto file. This is useful in case you have to update a layer with a new version of a specific image, but still need the same Develop Persona settings. If I need to save each time a macro for each individual .aphoto file I will end up with too many macros. As far as I am aware, the macro is not saved within the .aphoto file.
  5. OK, by following your hint with the move tool, I am able to open and edit the embedded file. Thanks. But double clicking does not work, even not if I move the embedded layer to the top of the layer stack. If necessary I can send you a link to the file. Have you seen this request https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/37662-affinity-photo-high-resolution-files/
  6. Hi there, I make use of the embedded documents too. But unfortunately I did not find a way in release 1.5.1.54 to open an embedded document to make changes in that document. Maybe I am doing something wrong? Could you give me a hint?
  7. Hi there, compared to Photoshop saving high resolution files in AP is so slow. Today I lost a great amount of valuable time by just waiting. Will this be improved in the near future?
  8. Hi, Request 1: About resizing an image or the canvas size: Would it be possible to add the option resizing by "percentage". Request 2: Curves: in photoshop you can add a point to the curve and set the RGB values fot that point to for example 128,128 Could this option be added in Affinity Photo? Request 3: Smart Object (in Photoshop) is a feature I use a lot in my workflow. Could this be added to Affinity Photo aswell? Regards Johan
