We also support Ctrl-Alt Drag: Up down for hardness, left/right for size. It needs a bit of improvement but it's there.

 

This exactly what I want. It is available in Affinity Photo, but it is not in Affinity Designer. Please add it.

Is there a shortcut to change the brush size in Affinity Designer ?

[Force Adding Object to Candidates List]

You can's add groups or compound objects as a whole to the snapping candidate list because those are comprised by many objects. You can only snap to single objects (not the whole group), even if they belong to a group or compound object.

 

So if you want to snap/align an object to the top of a group for example, mouse-over just the object that's located at the top of that group.

 

Also, the snapping candidates list only accepts six single items at the same time (to avoid a profusion of snapping lines if more objects were allowed).

Which version of Affinity Designer are you using the Mac App Store version or the Beta? Also what type of object are you trying to add (a text object, a shape, a path...)?

 

I use the Mac AppStore version. I'm trying to add groups and compounds.

 

I face this problem sometimes, for unknown reasons, not always.

Because of that I want to force adding an object to the candidates list

+10... or in the Document menu, I use this ALL the time in PS as a quick/tem backup, if I don't wanna save the file just yet, or if I anna try something out but not on the original, saved, doc....
