  1. A simple way of finding the affinity 2 executables and of telling other applications where the executable is, can be found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzJlTi8b4Rs That link doesn't always work. The gist of this guy's method for Windows is: first run the affinity application; next start task manager; right click on the Affinity application in processes to get a drop down menu in which one of the items is "open file location". Clicking on this will show the directory in which the executable resides. The executable is listed in this directory. Right click on the executable and select "copy as path". In software like Photo Mechanic Plus, for example, paste this path as the file location and the software will now be able to find the Affinity executable.
  2. KiheiMan Member Members 15 posts Posted 21 November 2016 - 10:23 PM It's getting better for sure, but I would like to bring to Affinity developers a plugin issue. ............. Then trying to use it I get an error about needing editable transparency (screenshot #1) which I don't understand - nothing is locked, no other filters active ... I got the same error about needing editable transparency when trying to use the Remask 5 Topaz plugin. I didn't understand it either and could not find a way to get around the error message.
  3. When I crop an image it displays without any borders in Affinity Photo. When I export the image - using "selection without background" for the area parameter then the exported image aquires a white border surrounding the crop. See attached file.
  4. I have had two similar crashes with Windows 10 and Beta 1.5.0.37. One was while changing from one persona to another. The other was when using luminosity masking.
  5. I just downloaded beta version 1.5.0.37 and now the topaz plugins do work with 16 bit images. That's really good. Thank you.
  6. I notice that Topaz plugins cannot be accessed if the image colour format includes 16 bit. When this is changed to 8 bit then the Topaz plugins can be accessed. Do you plan to allow Topaz plugins to be accessed in 16 bit format? As a general comment I am impressed with Affinity Photo and plan to buy it when it is for sale on the open market.
