Perhaps I could not explain my suggestion properly: I suggest that Photo "temporarily adds" Color-Profile-Info to an image during import to be able to do a conversion to the working profile. Im my case the HEIC-Images looked OK as soon as I assigned sRGB. (the images are about 10MB big - makes me hesitate to post them here..)

The Camera-App on my Samsung Smartphone is able to save Photos in JPG- and in HEIC-Format. When opening the JPGs, Photo converts them to my working-profile. But when opening the HEIC-Images, Photo assigns my working-Profile (...which results in wrong colors..) since there is no color-profile-info in the file, Photo says. (if that is true, that is Samsung´s fault - no doubt...) How about an option to tell Photo which color-profile to use/assume in case this info is missing in a file? Or, even better: ask me which (source-) profile to use during import?

@Alfred I agree with you in general, but in this case we are talking about a tiny change that was requested 4 years ago. And all those postings to the old thread (which is 4 pages long in the meantime) did not help...

In Photo: the drag-around-feature is already there - no extra key required.. I do not understand your issue.

@MrDoodlezz Mein Video trifft zwar nicht genau dein Problem - stimmt, aber den Themenkreis: eingebettet vs verknüpft und dass Serif das Thema nicht im Griff hat. Falls du es noch nicht bemerkt hast: alles was die Usability der Affinity-Produkte verbessern würde, wird von Serif konsequent NICHT implementiert. Ich habe grade gesehen, dass die Bitte die Farbe der normalen Hilfslinien anpassen zu können seit 2017 offen ist. Man kann weiterhin die Datei löschen während man grade daran arbeitet. Das gerade-ausrichten Werkzeug ist noch immer ein Alptraum usw. usw. HW-Beschleunigung scheint noch immer nicht zuverlässig zu klappen (hier sind aber angeblich die Grafiktreiber schuld... genau.. und es trifft nur Serif.. genau...) Wenn man ein Problem der Windows-Versionen meldet, kommt meist die Antwort von Serif, dass es auf deren Macs keine Probleme gibt.. sehr hilfreich.

Trying to be funny? as your "very useful" Google-link shows, this has already been requested back in 2017 - and Serif still refuses to implement this. What are they waiting for?! very disappointing.

...and one more simple change which improves usability but Serif refuses to implement.

I ask for an option to change the color of the guides (guide-lines?) in Photo. On some images the blue-ish guides are hard to see - for example when rotating/shearing/.... an image to correct converging lines etc.

"read an try to understand.." ? Not my job. Just look at the Screenshot provided by "Ron P": Serif is wasting space. Obviously it IS possible to put ALL Color-Info + ALL Details into a SMALL File (RAW). Why not use the same "Voodoo"-method used in RAW for the Image-Info of the Photo-File?

With a completely new file (fresh after RAW-Development) every "save" is a "Save as".

Hi, As far as I know, a RAW-File contains "all" colors, all details etc. since its (perhaps compressed but) lossless. My mind refuses to understand why a RAW-File is significantly smaller than a photo file. example: same picture: 1x RAW and 1x Photo (no editing whatsoever done, just developed and saved): almost 20x bigger! I know, some of you will try to explain to me, that a 32Bit ROMM-File needs more space because of... (...this and that...). True - but this makes me wonder even more: what kind of Voodoo is Canon using, to squeeze all this (similar amount) information into a much smaller RAW-File? Sometimes the Forum answers that Affinity adds some "speed-optimization"-Data to the file. If that is true: please add a "compress"-option to the "save as"-dialog to remove this "extra-data" and perhaps even add some additional lossless compression? (perhaps using HW-acceleration :-) ) I do not care if opening a file takes one second longer - but it helps to speed up data-transfer and backup. Thanks!

It´s still possible to delete files while they are opened in Photo. ?!?!? (Photo: 1.9.2 release version, Windows 8.1 Pro 64 german)

I found the following in the release-version of 1.9.2: missing translation (german): still missing translation (german): (only occurs when using the menu-command, not when using the inpainting-brush) missing translation (german): Wording-issue: "..require a restart of AFFINITY." Affinity---what? Affinity-Designer? Affinity-Publisher? Affinity-Photo? I think there is enough space available to add "Photo" here...

Every Adjustment-Window offers an "Add Preset" button but no option to select presets - they are only accessible via the Adjustments-Panel. Since working in Photo mainly means working in the Layers-Panel: please add a menu to every adjustment-window allowing access to the presets. (mockup)

... that is exactly the reason, why analysis/evaluation by external (= independent) Usability-experts is urgently required. (for every software-project, btw..)

... back in 2018 - and it´s still not implemented. What is Serif waiting for? Are they developing some more useless special stuf like astrophotography-filters?
