  1. thank you thank you thank you just finished several hours edit session and not one crash, solid as a rock and an absolute bleedin pleasure to work with love it!!!! what ever the heck you did you did good! (could do with the colour picker in the curves dialogue working though but I'm sure it's in the to do list some where) Regards
  2. Same with me. I've had to stop using it and have reverted to the release version.
  3. Thanks Mark I was aware of that page I'm not that lazy! I don't see any windows CPU spec on those pages also that's not quite what I asked. That's a min requirements list for a client install I was asking about your testing environment. You may not want to say, if so no problem. The only reason I ask is that I'm planning on specing up a new machine and starting with what you guys minimally use in testing would seem like good starting point. Regards
  4. Out of curiosity Mark what is the minimum spec Serif use to test AD and AP? Regards
  5. Hi Marks, I'll put it back and re-boot and see what happens. I understand why your saying it's ill advised. Regards
  6. Update on this I set virtual memory to 'No paging file' and got much more stability, from at least once per image to once per 2-3 hr edit session. Regards
  7. Hi Mark, I got this error, different code and the dmp file was created ed3d1481-1d4e-4d4b-b2a9-2c5c086ea92c.dmp Hope this helps Regards
  8. Hi Fitz, I didn't take your comments in any way negative! sorry my reply must have 'sounded' harsh, didn't mean that Always a risk on the interweb Apologies and Regards
  9. Hi Fritz_H I can't comment on the previous beta as I was in the middle of a fairly large edit session (with a very stable version for me) and decided not to install it due to some of the comments/issues that were being reported. To your points; 1. Absolutely! although I can get a crash now instead of just a temporary 'Not responding' message. As I have a low spec'd machine and AP didn't crash I've never considered this a reportable AP issue... but I've reported it to my wife many times I think she's eventually got the upgrade message though 2. Never had that one with any version. 3. Yes exactly that and particularly when I open an adjustments layer dialogue. 4. I would suspect that the developers would absolutely love to get to the stage where going to work would consist of developing new tools, feature updates and general code maintenance! for now though I just hope they are focused on performance, stability and that tablet issue that's affecting many, everything else I can work around. For me anyway AP is more that feature rich as is (for now). Regards
  10. Hi Mark, Just got a crash on 150% zoom, very basic file. one layer with an unsharp mask No files found in C:\Users\Harry\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.0 (Beta)\CrashReports Edit: I should add, not repeatable. Nothing in event viewer but I'm having a good look through it to see if there are any other OS or app issues that could be the cause. Regards
  11. Thanks Mark, will do. @TEcHNOpls yes it does feel random, mainly when I have an adjustments dialogue open but can also happen when zooming. Hopefully the team can shed some light on it! Regards
  12. Hi, With .80 I'm getting this at some point in every edit session, never had that before although I didn't install previous beta then Not sure if this is because the way the code is going trying to get more performance out of it. Previous betas have been rock solid for me.
  13. good point, that'd be a fair ol' lump of code if so!! maybe it's the code for the picker in the curves adjustment dialogue
  14. Great stuff! In truth previous beta was the first I didn't update to, back on track
  15. That's two of the reasons I will continue to use DxO Optics pro for batch processing RAWs until AP/AD or new Affinity DAM is released. Regards
  16. Native windows explorer views ap/ad file thumbnails. I prefer the idea of keeping the design documents out of a db, if recipes and meta data were saved in side cars or could be extracted/synced with a DAM DB application for cataloguing/searching/batching, referencing the documents in the file system I'd be good. That would also allow for the possibility to import data from other applications that use sidecars which would be very cool.
  17. Ah ok, It was just a thought that the issue might actually have been with the RAW lens profile in AP throwing the pano stitch off. Never used Hugin just PTGui which is pretty good but I'm finding AP functionality surprisingly good that it's my go to option now. Maybe I'm just lucky that AP is fitting my pano 'style' Regards
  18. Hi cdaerr, Sorry I clearly didn't understand the actual issue. Very informative topic! Regards
  19. Hi opera, time is money! I'm actually more inconvenienced by the crop tool ui as that can't be macro'd which is what I've done for DPI although batch processing a DPI change would be better the changes don't stick.... Grrrr Regards
  20. Looks like scanned/photocopy images, wondering if the paper edge on the overlap is confusing things? What happens if you remove those edges first rather than later? Your going to have to do it at some point anyway. Regards
  21. That's a really strange result from a two frame stitch! Looks like it should have been a three frame vertical though to get enough points? I've been doing a lot of panos recently never had such distortion on the edges What lens? What happens if you run the case through a different raw editor first and stitch Tiff's? Good point about the colour profile. Haven't come across that issue as I don't edit from raw in AP so correct profile is already embedded in Tiff's. Regards
  22. Having the DPI not honoured from the file being imported is an irritation, good to hear it's being worked on. I'm not sure what the 'pro' comment is about?
