  1. This whole topic has been discussed since forever. I'm also in the camp of them partnering with a tier 1 raw dev company not necessarily because of dam but simply because the whole dev module is just badly conceived i gave up using it years ago, things haven't changed. The obvious and possibly easiest choice would be dxo, both ux's are reasonably similar still no dam though. C1 is a superb product (with dam) but conceptually quite different in ux. Also very expensive if your a Canon shooter. Perhaps there might be enough in a deal to convince C1 to create a cut down cheaper version that is basically a plugin to AP and licenced to Affinity such that they are guaranteed income. I'd happily pay double what AP costs and have more upgrade costs to have that solution.
  2. I know shouting is frowned upon but.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PRETTY PLEEESE! 🥰 I'm sure this has been asked for like a few years ago 😥
  3. Really should be the other way round though! It's easy to work around so I'm not too bothered but was this issue in the previous beta before the .4.693 release and no one noticed it? I doubt it for something so basic, that i find a bit worrying.
  4. So to play devils advocate for a mo, I don't think they should develop a DAM but partner with DxO or C1 for close integration. The develop persona, being kind, is very weak and for me goes hand in hand with DAM. Affinity Devs strengths seem to me to be on the artistic side which is really fantastic and long may it stay that way!
  5. Wouldn't fading the font make reading the text and therefore selecting another tab more difficult though? How about leaving the colours as they are but highlight the active tabs top edge with an accent line the same colour as the text? (white or black depending on the selected UI style) This way which tab has focus is clear and doesn't distract from any colour perceptions on the image Regards
  6. Apologies, please ignore (well it looked like it was being ignored anyway!) It's been a while since I've masked within a file with a B&W live filter on, the refine mask goes to black instead of that nice red! Maybe I should re-post as feature request would be nice if the mask colour remained consistent. Or maybe there is a setting for that? Regards
  7. Happy 5th birthday A Team and best wishes for many many more!
  8. Yes, I kept looking at the drop down thinking I've lost the plot!
  9. Haven't been to these forums especially beta for some time, working on images that aren't appropriate for beta, only been using the release version but just wanted to say thanks for these solid updates really appreciate the work you're all putting in to this product. TBH I'd have happily paid for a 2.0 release by now so to me this software is proving serious value for for money. I'm sure I'll get back to beta at some point but for now lovin release! Thanks again Serif Best
  10. When I copy a live unsharp mask layer to a different image it doesn't retain settings, vibrance adjustment for example does. Thanks Regards Harry
  11. PS How about buying out DxO labs with your winnings and shortcutting the dev for a DAM and save Nik
  12. Done! Was going to say good luck but I don't think your going to need it, more like well done
  13. Thanks for the lecture, really no need to state the obvious
  14. Ah wait I didn't read your original post correctly, I thought you got a blue screen which wouldn't give you any logs. Follow v_kyr's advise Regards
  15. Yip, didn't expect that to be the issue really just posted my experience as an example. Maybe start by disabling as much as possible Hope you get things sorted Regards
  16. Hi Bobby, +1 to the replies above I recently had issues with blue screening on windows 10 home when using AP. turned out to be an issue with my wireless mouse! Nothing to do with AP. AP just happens to be my most used application. There have been some pretty big updates to home edition recently and it's difficult to pin these things down when there is nothing in logs to go on. It's a pain!
  17. Hi v_kyr, I was aware of the many wishing this feature and that thread but I hadn't seen Patrick's last comment so thanks for the link. Interesting that he's openly asking for clarification rather that keeping it in house. I'm keeping everything crossed, it would be such a win for them. Regards
  18. Hi, So I'm having a little trouble with my ColorMunki at the moment and was doing a little googling, came across this; https://www.xritephoto.eu/colormunki-display-with-free-affinity-photo.html Got me more than a little excited I know it's a bit of a leap but.... Please please tell me Affinity are going to work with X-Rite to have colour passport integration and profiling build into AP This is number one on my wish list actually I'd give up the rest of my list just to get this! Regards
  19. Hear hear And pixel nudge on arrow keys please.... Yup I'm gonna stamp ma feet and skweem and skweem for that
  20. WOW that's just plain mental! Care to share the original RAWS? Wonder if this is a focal length issue, which end of 16-70 are you using? When I do panos I'm always at least 50mm (FF equiv) Regards
  21. Can lens correction correct this? It's a stitched pano When I run my RAW files through DxO lens correction is applied, doesn't change the stitch results other than more accurate point alignment (I believe/hope!) @Alfred thanks, I really must remember to add links when I just throw something like that in! ( should I reference DxO ? ) Regards
  22. I think hemi would sort that pretty quickly and for course the mesh tool if you want to do it manually. I've had a couple of panos like that as well and have come to the conclusion that that's what is required for best point alignment which is the most important thing, correcting the geometry being an acceptable trade off. Regards
