  1. 'I can't seem to get my head around why some things are done in the way you've chosen?' Perhaps some of those hours spent reading the forums first would have clarified much if not all of Serif's reasoning. Enjoy, P
  2. Agreed. It IS a WACOM driver problem exacerbated by individual win configurations. Google 'Wacom windows 7 problems'...... Speak to WACOM. Enjoy P.
  3. Rafael, you say 'When can we expect the fixes for Wacom tablet'. My Wacom Tablet and many others work perfectly. It took months to get my WACOM to even work on Win 7 through trial and error. Wacoms and their drivers are notorious! While the guys here can make tentative improvements (given the variety of Waco/windows configurations) I expect as ever a small hard core of Wacom users will never get it working fine .. Cheers Paul
  4. This YouTube video by Denny adequately shows the 'Raw blocking' of the display when making RAW Develop Persona adjustments in comparison to PS. https://youtu.be/AO_r-JX8fpE Cheers P
  5. I for one do not care a jot for the 'list'... I have my well defined workflows that I use (then external plug ins) so I personally test them. I personally do not test areas of no interest (panorama I use ICE, HDR/tone maps - I use photomatix as I did with Photoshop) So, I for one, am happy to pay my £30 adapt and tweak my workflow, kick out ADOBE and support Serif. I enjoy using AP!
  6. Thanks Mark. Slick, quick and uneventful installed. First thoughts after 40mins.. Liquify Persona is quick and works great for me. Tone mapping too slow and unusable for my old Toshiba, but Photomatix sorts that. Is Photo not yet configured to use my settings now from the Live version? Start up and speed generally seem similar to Live. Thanks, Paul
  7. You really need to subscribe to the Vimeo and YouTube channels to get immediate notifications. As even if you know a new tutorial has arrived you may want to review an old one! Cheers Paul
  8. Thanks again, James. Yet again, superb 'bite-size' tutorials, with clear objectives, clear explanations plus well paced AP work. I just love 'em... Cheers, Paul
  9. Thanks again, James. The 'mini projects' - Canary Wharf and Banded Demoiselle are excellent tutorials! I really enjoy these end-to-end practical use of multiple techniques. Awesome, Cheers Paul Canary Wharf Banded Demoiselle
  10. Thanks James, Watched several of these new ones. All of the usual high quality. Clear and concise, well structured and bite-size. A pleasure.... Cheers, Paul
  11. Rigger73 'I'd rather keep my Mac clean without any 3rd party software.' ? Like Affinity? I assume you have a machine with no internet access to stop any third party cookies too..? Cheers, P
  12. Hi Patrick, Serif still have copyright on it from what I can see. Do Photo users not have 'fair use' of the html help file contents? I assume that rather like having an mp3 I paid for I could copy it for use in my car off my mp3 player. Is this not the same position? I would also assume some prospective purchasers, in the absence of a current Windows AP beta to download, would welcome some searchable and thorough insight into key features they may require. Please advise. cheers, Paul
  13. Hi, a 4 image composite plus some effects from NIK colour efex pro 4... I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.. Paul
  14. I have used PS for 5+ years - often for 8 hours in a day and for me - YES - Affinity does all that I need. I use NIK and Topaz plug-ins (I use Quick mask now instead of Topaz ReMask!) - I also do dodge & burn extensively - The other key features for me are WACOM support and a somewhat configurable UI... The rest of the key (basic and advanced) features are there and usable. IMHO with the 14 day money-back guarantee it is one for you to test. Enjoy! Paul
  15. HelmutLicht, I am confused. Photoplus may have been 'retired' but you still have the licence, you can still use it and you now have no new updates to learn. Win-win-win... AP is what Serif need as flagship revenue generator, truly a match for Photoshop at a bargain price. I respectfully recommend you continue to enjoy Photo plus for many years to come as you have for many years past. Maximising the value of your initial license fee. Otherwise you are in the same boat as everyone else in learning AP! I have spent 8 weeks using it and I am as proficient now as I was in Photoshop. The video resources available are excellent. AP is the single best thing to happen in the post-production market for years... Whatever your decision, enjoy your art, Cheers Paul
