  1. So refreshing to see a community and Software company working together to get this product improved. So much more responsive and exciting to feel a part of a revolution.. Thanks folks, Paul
  2. Hi Dave, not a symptom of the current issue with Malwarebytes is it? P
  3. Hi Verysame, I know Mark can respond for himself, however as a long time user and beta tester with historic issues with AP I disagree with you. I know that every user's problem are the MOST important to THEM. With 30 years IT and Dev experience a product team have a roadmap, then prioritised bug fixes, features and enhancements identified and logged. It is, in my experience, the Product Manager who manages release content based on his/her criteria. Some users shouting louder doesn't come into it. I appreciate the frustration as I am sure Mark and the team do, but like it (or not) we raise the issues, show the proof, product team check them, log them and prioritise. We then await the release that satisfies us... In the meantime been find workarounds or alternatives.... Cheers, Paul
  4. Thanks Darkclown. Photo just an untypical example. I NEVER use presets or macros, except dodge, burn and setup. I use Picasa for batch watermarks. My premise (I have travelled 56 countries and live/travel) in a motorhome (now driving through Spain) - is that every single image I process Individually... While the top level process is the same, no presets, macros or anything. I have over 180,000 of my own images... I want every single image to be completely unique. Again, for me, AP is a cheap and efficient way of getting what I enjoy... Cheers Paul PS. Maybe this is more your style?
  5. HHi Darkclown, I understand where you are coming from however, I use AP every day. I use it 3-4 hours or more EVERY day. Why is important to know is that AP, like ALL products is used by everyone in their own unique way. My workflow is jpg based, and roughly follows; I infrequently use DarkTable for some raws. I use MS ICE for image stitching. Next is Jpg clean up, crop, detail and blemishes or cloning. Save as a master. Then create multiple layers. Do any merging, copy and paste when making montages or composites. Edit in AP with NIK or Topaz for colour and details. Further AP edits, crop, blending as required. Possible edit in Corel Painter. If so back to AP for colour, brightness, lighting filter and final crop. Done. Save as a photo and jpg. For me, AP is perfect. I can take from 25 minutes to 3 hours per image... It has everything I need. I am a photographic club member I'm the UK and my images win many competitions, including the US, PSA. For me it is a robust, reliable product. Enjoy....! PS. An example from Brighton, UK.
  6. It exists. 7 feet tall. If you Google 'outhousemcr bowie' you will see the original.. A fantastic area to see street art and social graffiti. Enjoy! P
  7. Photo of mine from Manchester UK. Into AP, then Corel Painter 2017, then finish in AP plus Nik.... Enjoy...p
  8. Hi guys, while I sympathize, I really am confused here. I am loooong time Wacom user Bamboo Touch 480. 6 year old Toshiba satellite Pro, Win 7 8 gb ram and and 1200 CPU... Yep 1200 built in GPU.! 6 years ago I spent Months trying to get the drivers working, I even used to reload the drivers EVERY TIME I switched my laptop on just to use my Wacom on PS CS6. Eventually it got sorted after months of various configuration, changes and tests. (40 years IT expertise, too!) Bulletin boards then were full of issues with Wacom drivers, compatibility and conflicts... In short my Wacom Bamboo works slickly and smoothly on PS AND Affinity Photo.... Although the initial betas were flaky. While there may be some coding changes Affinity can receive I really am wondering how a crappy 6 year old underpowered laptop with win 7 and an old small Wacom works great and yours with beasts of machines do not? When I had issues, as an IT specialist, I started from Safe mode and took driver by driver until it was sorted. Perhaps such a bottom up approach may assist you? Perhaps the Affinity guys could outline any other ideas other than conflicts, drivers, pen mode etc... that you can consider. Cheers, Paul.
  9. So pleased. Serif and Affinity, onwards and upwards! Congratulations to the team at Serif. P
  10. I know Rick G... Read my previous posts.. Beta .93 forum thread should have been locked and closed by a Mod when Live .93 was released. (Same code) Cheers, Paul
  11. Er.... Patrick this is .93 not .63. My understanding is that Live and Beta are now identical code. Paul
  12. Once .93 was live there was no beta.... No beta can be downloaded. From a bug's perspective all bugs and queries should be logged against live .93. They require ALL issues to be logged so they can be checked. Cheers P
  13. Should this thread have been closed/locked when .93 went live? As there is no current AP beta. P
  14. Loving new release, thanks for all the hard work...... And for your continued patience throughout the post release forum melees! P
  15. Hi, Chrome 61.0.3163.100 64 bit under Win 7 This was a solution for me as I do not use IE. Removed completely. I got AP splash screen but not the 3 pages of content, so I could not download the freebies. Set TLS to Enabled and it appeared so I could download from the AP splash screen links straight into chrome to order... Hope that helps? P
  16. Patrick - in CHROME type chrome://flags/ and load in browser Search for (FIND) TLS Set to 'ENABLED (Draft)' restart browser - start AP and content links work OK. cheers, Paul
  17. I run win7 I stripped IE out. Loathe it. Chrome only. No worries, can live without the extras. Cheers, Paul
  18. Windows version update done ok - BUT no Welcome screen offer, even when language change done (4 times!)... Product licensed, owned since Dec '16.... I only want the Skies Macro, really... Any one from Serif any ideas? P
  19. Hi, long time user of AP Windows etc. Searched but could not find a solution. Query; I open a jpg 4400x1800 ok in AP Windows. I then use Win 7 drag and drop to drop another image (different edit) of same size on to the previously opened image. Problem is the newly d&d image is offset to the right and down, NOT directly over the original image! Frustrating as I am blending the lower image components using a mask, but have to fiddle lining it up first! Any ideas? Cheers, Paul
  20. Excellent. 6s jog load time in beta vs. 12s in live.... Pleased. All my key functions appear to be working ok. Looking forward to a November release..
